Lots of work to do if they want to come out of this non-conference stretch in good shape... otherwise they're staring at a 3-8 start to the year. This team isn't as good as rebounding as Rigby's previous teams. UCLA and San Francisco beat Troy on the boards. San Fran took almost as many shots as Troy did, and that never bodes well for Troy since the shooting is usually poor. Troy by 1/4 FG 3PT FT 1st Quarter 6-19 31.58 % 1-5 20.00 % 2-2 100.00 % 2nd Quarter 7-18 38.89 % 1-2 50.00 % 3-3 100.00 % 3rd Quarter 4-15 26.67 % 2-6 33.33 % 8-10 80.00 % 4th Quarter 9-26 34.62 % 2-8 25.00 % 2-2 100.00 % Total 26-78 33.3 % 6-21 28.6 % 15-17 88.2 %

Down by 8 at end of 1st, sloppy play but hanging in...
Down by 12 at 5:00 in the third. Sloppy, poor decisons
Ladies lose 84-73. Winnable game if we played half well. IMO

Boyz make a good point about wait lines at Sodexo concession stands. WE sit in the West stands and the lines there are extremely looong and slow. We avoid them at all costs.
Consideration needs to be given to old fashion Soda Hawkers roaming the stands with trays of product for sale.

Apparently one of the players gave an inappropriate salute to the fans. Likely just returning the favor to some FSU zealot in the stands. Too bad the Officials couldn't boot them out.

I really really hope that #18 throws for 450 yards and 4 touchdowns while running OCJC perfectly called game against ULM. I know hope is a dangerous thing, all we can go off of is history. But make it happen. It would be nice to see. All I'm sayin' > NOW

Apparently one of the players gave an inappropriate salute to the fans. Most likely very appropriate in Tallahassee, only language they understand there. cornhole born and half-raised there.

Why is it a bad thing to discuss areas we can improve? I’m not calling for anyone to be fired. I really don’t understand how questioning certain areas of our performance based on our understanding of the game is a bad thing. No one on here thinks they’re a college coach. I personally like the shift to pro spread as I’ve said multiple times. Can someone explain why it isn’t ok to discuss strategy and what we see in a game? I love the game of football. As I said earlier especially offensive schemes. That’s part of why I watch football, all football and especially college football. If we can’t be free to discuss this part of football then maybe this board isn’t for me anymore. The next month presents an epic opportunity for Troy University Football to make an historic statement. We are at the cusp, fish now or cut bait. Pull out the stops, go for it! "JUST" 8-4 or more?? Cornhole never calls for firing during heat of the season. We won't have this D to Fall back on next year.

So, you and ksd are content to take the the pedal off the metal this season?? We're so close, sans a consistent O. And you assume that next year will take care of itself with HCJS?? Just too many moving parts to assume anything for next year. Yeah, sit back and relax. We could lose the next two and then what? I’m not on the team. I’m in the stands eating snacks and cheering. I can sit back and relax. The team will fight on. yeah. Keep relaxing, we won't have this D to count on next year, or perhaps for a decade. HCJS will fight on but needs an O NOW to complete a truly memorable, if not epic season.

I like to talk football. Especially offensive football scheme. So I’m sitting back and relaxing but I’m also very interested to see what adjustments we continue to make. Yeah man. I’m with you. I just can’t complain anymore this season. This team has met my expectations for a Sumrall team in year 4. 8-2, no matter how ugly, lucky, or even frustrating is outstandingly good. I love this team and Sumrall is off to a great start. Yeah and HCJS ain't sitting back and relaxing with 2, 3 or 4 games to go.

Wife and I had the opportunity to visit with the Ladies while here in LA. Very special group this year. Understand that UCLA prob.has a budget 4x’s Troy ladies BB, we counted 9 support staff on the bench for UCLA. They pulled the #1 HS senior in (#1 Kiki Rice, Fresh.) that has a huge NIL deal with Nike… And we still hung 83 points on them, the previous game UCLA held UC Riverside to 43 points. Next up will be USF, Wash St and BYU in the North Shore Classic, then to Ark. Tough schedule builds tough teams….these ladies will do well this year. Thanks for the first hand report. Cornhole was surprised to read how close the Lady Trojans kept it!!

No comment here on specific personnel but O productivity is worse now after 10 games into the new regime. 3rd down efficiency, TD/Int ratios, dropped passes, communication have all tanked since USM game. I just don't understand last summer's baffling player personnel moves. Season-saving D and kicking game has kept Troy afloat. (as well as inept kicking by opponents, ULaLA and Army. H#ll, we'd be sitting at 6-4 if either could kick a FG). What baffling player personnel moves? Troy brings in two QB's, one (Costelli) hasn't played in 3+ years, the other (Dagger) has just one year and holds NCAA records. Only one has contributed at all?? And only because of an injury to the #1 QB.?

I think we're seeing Gunnar in particular but the whole offense slowly figure some things out. I believe this team has an offensively explosive game in them that we will see this season. An important reminder: While Gunnar has been here for a long time, he received 0 player development for 3 years. In some ways, when HCJS got here it was like he was dealing with Gunnar fresh off the bus from Butler. Indeed. We don’t quit! We fight! And that is what will take us to new heights. *Once the offense gets the kinks worked out and can start with some momentum on the opening drive no one will stop us.
But the come from behind effort is back at TROY. Never count us out. *50/50, or less that this happens this season. It's late in the game.

I am not talking trash about ULM until we get a first half offense. A Vic Koenning D vs Troy's part-time O should be interesting. Could be disgusting.

By the way, a long time ago, up in Detroit, I used to be in charge of survivability for the Abrams tank, the Stryker, and the concept JLTV You folks are killin' me. My son served a 15 month "tour" just outside Sadr City back in the day. He is an Army engineer, attached to the 2nd Infantry out of Ft Carson. Lost his CO the second week in Iraq, due to IED/vehicle incident. MOST stressful 1.5 years for the family as well. 2nd Infantry, "The Warrior Division", " SECOND TO NONE" HUGE respect here for the "enemy" tomorow. GO TROJANS!
