ESPN showing a full screen R.Todd graphic? Not great PR for our program.

No rush adding more teams. Let’s be strategic and wait for the AAC to collapse and then steal ECU and Tulane…

I am really glad we have a home and don’t have to worry about these things. Meanwhile MUTS are basically giving up. MAC is their greatest hope and they are even talking about dropping down to 1AA. Some talk about adding Sam Houston and McNeese to CUSA. middletennessee.forums.rivals.com/threads/i-guess-nobody-is-going-to-address-this.16543/middletennessee.forums.rivals.com/threads/its-over.16554/They really deserve it, most arrogant fanbase in CFB. They always act like they are the Fighting Irish athletically and academically. Now, nobody wants to be associated with them. We are very fortunate to be part of this upgraded conference. However, we really need to start getting serious about rebuilding the program because Marshall, James Madison, and Southern Miss will elevate this conference overall… it’s getting tougher to reach the top…

Looks like this is really happening. I still remember MTSU, WKU, FAU, and UNT and their arrogant fans leaving us behind. Now, we are expanding and adding two G5 brand schools and a great FCS power… and we didn’t need markets just product on the field to get this done.

What will some of you do/say/think if (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of) is retained for another season? I break up with Troy. I'm an Auburn alum and my wife is a UWF alum, so although I choose Troy over those schools, and it would break my heart, I have somewhere to go. I hear UWF has an on campus stadium now and I hear they win. Same here, I am an Auburn alumn (& I spent a year at Troy - main campus). My Troy FB interest level is waning⦠I am more active posting on the Auburn message boards these days. I am still interested in following SBC football but Troy Football is really becoming less of a priority (and yes, I donated in the past, bought & donated bowl tickets, etc). Future conference expansion (bring in USM and Marshall!) and a new HC would get me excited againâ¦!

(The HC we don’t speak of) probably thinks he almost beat a tough SEC team and should be offered a job in the SEC now.
I have never seen an SEC team play this poorly against a G5 team. Should have been an easy win for us!
DEF played a tough game. I feel sorry for our poorly coached OFF! It really is not their fault.

I would like to see Troy get a fresh start. I'm beginning to get tired of hiring coaches with Troy ties. Shane Meade and Scott Cross being hired for baseball and basketball was refreshing.
There are some young head coaches out there that have proven they can be successful at the G5 level, but for whatever reason it isn't panning out at their P5 jobs.
Here are some head coaches that have a somewhat high likelihood of being fired this season:
Scott Frost, Nebraska Jeff Brohm, Purdue Mike Norvell, Florida State Manny Diaz, Miami
Would you take any of them? From this list it would be Scott Frost Brohm would be interesting.

Sumrall should have got the job the first time. No he shouldn’t have. There numerous better candidates both now and then. What is the fascination with this guy with some of y’all on this board ? He a nice guy and all but nothing he has done proves he can run a program. No. He needs to marinate where he is, prove himself. I don't get it either. Obviously he has some buddies here trying to position him for the job.

Jeff Lebby (Ole Miss OC)olemisssports.com/sports/football/roster/coaches/jeff-lebby/707Lane Kiffin Is Great, But Rebels OC Jeff Lebby Is Just As Critical to Ole Miss Successwww.si.com/college/olemiss/football/lane-kiffin-is-great-but-rebels-oc-jeff-lebby-is-also-critical-to-ole-miss-successThe man calling the plays in Oxford has made a name for himself in his first two seasons at Ole Miss. Jeff Lebby spent some time as the offensive coordinator at notable programs before joining Kiffin in Oxford for the 2020 season, including Baylor and UCF. Everywhere he's been, however, the pattern has been the same: positive offensive numbers and strong quarterback play. While he was at UCF as the offensive coordinator in 2019, Lebby's unit ranked fifth in total offense, and quarterback Dillon Gabriel threw for 3,653 yards and 29 touchdowns. Once he got to Ole Miss last season, the Rebels were seventh in the country in total offense after playing a conference-only schedule due to COVID-19.

(The HC we don’t speak of) doesnât care about the program. His plan was to take over Brownâs team and then probably leave for a bigger program after 1-2 seasons. He probably thinks, he is stuck with us (rather than the other way around).

We can’t wait too long. Last time, all the good coaches were not available anymore (Freeze, Drinkwitz, etc) when we started looking around.

Troy Football needs more $ and there is a way:
We should stop playing FCS teams for a while and replace these games with money games and make some more $.
This would mean additional 1.5M (per year!) at least - even more than that because we wouldn’t have to pay FCS teams anymore. We could invest this money into a high quality coaching staff!
It would also help with recruiting because recruits love to play these big games. We wouldn’t even have to schedule teams like Georgia, Clemson, Florida, etc. We could schedule teams like Kentucky, Arkansas, TX A&M, Georgia Tech, Louisville, North Carolina, Florida State (lol) etc. Maybe some Big 10 teams (Michigan St, Illinois, etc). Statistically, this would even improve our chances to generate more upset wins.
I would rather have a great coaching staff and play two money games going 8-4 / 9-3 every year than finishing 6-6 under a mediocre coaching staff. We could go back to the current model after some years but right now we need more $.

The talent on the field imo is good enough to win the sun belt. Liberty will have another strong season. Am I a fan of chippy no. But we should remember those 3-9 years and a few 4-8 in there. I feel confident this team can win the east. Coastal is gonna be tough but Jack St beat FSU last night anything is possible (The HC we don’t speak of) should go back and coach HS teams. He probably wonât even be able get a coordinator job in college after this year.

Yes Liberty is a good team and our defense played admirably, but that doesnât change the fact that our offense couldnât stay on the field. Not to mention that Liberty had at least 2 key players out with Covid. The way our defense played tonight we should be able to hold every team we play this season to 21 but if you cat score then you canât win and that lies on the head coach and the OC. Take a look at the direction of our program. We are talking about losing to Liberty. A team that has only been playing in the FBS since 2018. Coastal has been playing at the FBS level since 2017. Ap moved to FBS in 2014. At this point we are being passed by other programs who are winning and getting more respect nationally . Iâd like to know our short term and long term goals. Iâm sure that for 21 it would be to win the conference and that could still happen but (The HC we don’t speak of) will have to score more than 13 against Coastal, Ap and Louisiana. Then make a bowl. And win We havenât been there yet under (The HC we don’t speak of) . Whatâs the long term vision? A few years ago many talked about modeling our program after Boise who is in the G 5 but plays P 5 and gets the respect nationally ! I like that vision but we are nowhere close to that when we are pointing out how we lost to Liberty! I think they had 8 key players out (injuries, covid).

App to AAC? csnbbs.com/thread-929257.html”Heard this morning App wants out. They are in contact with the AAC pleading their case. Was also told the AAC is considering going to 16 and try to kill off the Belt and CUSA. What's left of the Belt and CUSA may end up merging with some teams left out. All this will depend on if App leaves or not. If App leaves others in the Belt will follow. If App stays then they all stay. Leave it to App to mess up a good thing.”
