I don’t call for anyone to be fired. But that’s just me. But I do expect a university search committee to know a little bit about what it’s looking for when it does a hire; for any department on campus. In my opinion (and it’s just my opinion which carries no significance) the search committee saw something that just doesn’t exist. Sadly, I think perhaps our current coaching staff just isn’t a good fit for Troy. This problem falls as much on their shoulders as anyone else. Just a few years ago when many of us fans followed Coach Brown and our team to Baton Rouge, we knew we had the capability to beat LSU. There were Troy fans before the game who were taunting LSU fans to stick around after the final horn because Troy was going to kick their tails. Does anyone feel that confidence anymore?

I’m grateful that my daughter scheduled her wedding on the same day as Troy’s homecoming. Actually, Troy chose the homecoming date after the wedding day was selected. The wedding guarantees a happy day for us regardless of the likelihood of Troy being pounded like fresh fish in prison

Do you recall last year's game at Liberty? Troy's improved, Liberty a buzzsaw. We didn’t play liberty last year. With all the COVID issues last year, I can barely remember who we played. However, we looked great at home against La Monroe tho. 🤣😂😆

It’s quickly turning into one of my favorite cities in America. I loved living there. I lived just off Abercorn Street and had a view of the old city cemetary and I would spend a lot of my free time in LaFayette Park reading a book or the newspaper back in the day

Happy Day! You can spend your next three birthdays in Savannah, while true Trojan Fans tailgate with friends, support their alma mater and folks like us non-alums support your school. IMHO, BTW. If (The HC we don’t speak of) is still the Coach, yep. Yâall have fun. I used to live in Savannah. An Autumn day on Abercorn or Jones Streets or time spent on Tybee Island isnât a bad day. I would quit watching sports altogether to be back on River Street again. ð

Gotta admit, the low country boil with huge shrimp at our tent (Still Sartain) was excellent! The tailgate food selection was top notch

They were told. 3 times our tickets were sent out of town to the wrong name and address. Once they sent only half of our tickets. The year before last they didn’t send them at all and an admin at the athletic dept. hand delivered them to our house when he found out. Nice touch, but he’s gone elsewhere now. If they arrive, that’s fine.

Just curious, how are they delivering tickets this year? Since 2013, they usually (5 out of 7 years) mess up our ticket order or don’t deliver them to us at all. We still remain optimistic that this could be the year they get it right

I went to the game today and I’m convinced I watched two of the worst teams in college football play. I couldn’t decide who I felt the worst for; Troy with their staff or MT with theirs. I found myself hoping false positive COVID testing would end the rest of the season. All in all, I agree; Troy’s staff is just mailing it in and our team shows it

Watching the sideline argument brought back another warm memory from Troy’s past; the time TROY lost at home and Larry Blakeney doing a post game interview while players got into a locker room fight.

I know we’re using a backup QB, but do we have a backup HC who could come in and call plays?

I enjoyed this game here in Heidelberg, Germany with no TV, no radio and street demonstrations going on. 2019 Troy University football season is finally, mercifully over.

I’m frustrated with this staff. I just can’t understand the depth of ineptitude this program has fallen to in just a matter of months. But despite that, I will still continue to support and spend my money on my university in Troy. I stuck with them back in 1983(?) when the season was abysmal, but the players were all a pack of junkyard scrappers. I was more proud of them than some of the most successful teams we’ve had since then. Teams that played Troy that year knew they would likely win but were going to be bloodied and battered afterward. Not because Troy played dirty, but because they played hard and hit even harder. I miss that team. They would be one of the most celebrated teams Troy ever had the following year and for some seasons to come; but those seasons and squads were born from those scrappers who lost that year. I wish I saw that this year.
