I DO feel sorry for LB (and you should too). His coaching history speaks volumes about how great a coach he has been. This game ticks me off as much as anyone but you are letting your emotions spoil the reality that LB has been a fantastic coach. There is no doubt this is quite a low point for it. Don't take a dump all over a man with his legacy. I feel there needs to be a change and honestly, the sooner the better. And that's all the more reason to feel sorry. Very sorry. And you should too. Take your pity somewhere else. Don't think you will get many takers tonight

Larry has to go, this ship has been sinking for years and tonight we are close to hitting the bottom.......thank you for your service, we will keep your name on the stadium but please gather your things from your desk and move on. . Close. We have hit bottom. Only two ways to go from here and that is sideways or up and we will not go up with current leadership!!!!!

Sooooooo, the fact that we stereotype today's team with its unruly hairdos, ear rings, tattoos, baggy warmups, etc, as benchmarks for judging the "perceived" lack of discipline, commitment, and winning and suggest that the 60's/70's attitude would be better for our team. Rather have the "bra tossing," "anti-war marching", "rioting against our government", type attitude portrayed on the field. BTW, would LOVE to have Vince or the Bears idea of how to control all of these " HORRIBLE THINGS that make the youth of Troys football team so unacceptable by many of us. Thing is, YOU CANT USE 60s/70s/80s/90s technology, styles, approaches today and expect all to be well. I, personally, get tired of reading armchair quarterbacks talking about the "good ole days" and suggesting that we go back to facemask-less helmets and Wing-T thinking to get us back to where some would like us to be. GO TROJANS (those of today), I will take my chances with this bunch, both coaches and players, hell, include the Athletic Dept, I will take them too. Why? BECAUSE I KNOW HOW HATD THEY ARE ALL WORKING THEIR A** OFF TO GET US VICTORIES. NOT to take us backward, but to move us forward, in frocking 2014!!! See you at the tailgate, ready to talk/discuss with anyone willing to show up and talk about. Just remember your "OPINION" IS NOT A FACT!!! Let's see, you are frustrated because we say things YOU DON'T AGREE WITH. Sounds like you think your opinions are fact or there would be no anger. If you get tired hearing the "older" alumnus thoughts on issues why don't you just simply try an old tried and proven frustration preventer and not read them? Still a free country....well at least for a little while longer and that included us uninformed, backwards, out of touch, laughable folks from the "60's, 70's, 80's and 90's! Dang, you included just about everybody but the last 23 years. That's about 90% of fans you are tired of hearing from! Wow! Great approach for a fan board member. Only say what I believe or SHUT UP, I'm tired hearing you! I'll leave you to your anger of us less intellectuals! Enjoy tailgating with the younger more informed fans!:-) Maybe we should include our ages on our post to help out those who are "tired" of hearing our THOUGHTS! . Thanks Redwaver my thoughts exactly. I miss the 70s and 80s compared with society today

The fancy trailers are nice but we won two Nat. championships hauling gear in a rented yellow Ryder truck. It's what arrives in the bus that counts not the truck. Maybe we need to go back to the yellow Ryder truck days then, because what we have had arriving on the bus has not counted for much on the field. Also, I could give a rats a** if you grow your hair to the ground and use it as a belt as long as you produce on the field.

In regards to the player's appearances - I work in a hotel that houses many of the SEC teams during the season along with teams from other (and smaller) conferences, and to a man they all get off that bus wearing the same outfit. And this is simply for their walk from a bus to a hotel lobby - not a pre-game tradition involving fans. Many have long hair and dreads but as long as they are clean I don't see a proplem with long hair. I find it hard to believe that Troy recruits the only players in the country who want to express their "individuality" or have discipline problems. This is ALL on the coaches. How can you expect to have student leaders when you do not have coaching leaders. I know for a fact that one of the coaches did not even stay with the team Friday night. This may be common practice at Troy but I am going off what I see from other teams. Also, maybe the coaches need to imbibe less the night before a game. Not a good example. WINNER, WINNER CHICKEN DINNER! 100% CORRECT.

The good news is we will see if we would still be competitive in the Southland Conference. McNeese only lost by 7 to #18 Nebraska and Central Ark. By 7 to Texas Tech. ACU reminds me of Troy in 1992 and it worries me. This game will either get us back on the right track or a loss marks the end of Blakney's tenure iagree

. Blakney stated he gave up on appearance issues along time ago.....good lord!!!! I had the pleasure of spending the game with my son and although we sat in the endzone we were honored to be sitting next to a couple from Duke. This couple had been married 69 years and were there watching their great grandson playing for Duke. We talked and joke throughout the game, but the gentlemen did make an observation that I had never really noticed before. He asked me during half time when the kickers come out to warm up "why doesn't your team wear their helmets during warm up." He further explained his question to say "you are wearing your helmet in the game when you kick the ball so you should be wearing your helmet when warming up and practicing." I had no answer for this gentlemen as he was 100% correct. It is the little things that go unnoticed and it takes experience to point out. My point for this ramble is if your above statement is correct, it's not just the appearance walking from the gym to field house during Trojan Walk, but on the field also. I hope when I am 88 years old I am still that sharp.
