Going to keep if shorter than last week, after all who really cares, we all have opinions, and it changes nothing and just a way to vent.
1. Defense looked better. With that being said, we have still not played a great passing offense yet to be tested, and Duke was flat the first half and either was look pass us or just not that good.
2. Offense, not just play calling, Offense in general. Can we not play more than a quarter a game or a quarter and a half this week. Play calling as bad as always, however they executed better first quarter but then quit. And I will disagree with most of you. The QB change was only done, was they went flat and was stopped and pass was being forced. It appears, Silvers can run, however does not have an accurate deep ball of more than 15 yards and throws behind his receivers always. Play calling predictable as always, and we stare our receivers down. Everyone in our section knew who we were throwing to. Something not right on Offense and not sure what, but not just lack of experience.
3. Trojan Walk, I swore I was not going to bring this back up, but I must. We play like we look when we get off the bus. I saw every version of outfit, hats, Ear buds, slouch, clean cut, not looking at fans faces, looking above them, saw some players stop and hug family and friends (which I like), my God we were in the rain, supporting a team after a butt whooping last week, show some respect and coaches please force this.
4. Lack of leadership. Can anyone tell me who the leaders are on both sides of the ball. I saw very few on the field or on the side lines. Which tells me there is lack of unity, and a lot of self on this team.
5. Comments on players and Party players. I will not go specific, since a lot of hear say again, but just as last week, I heard of arrest, lack of discipline, party players, a comment on student side I heard was, cannot play more than a quarter, ready to get to his party. Now, I did my fair share of fun in college, and know that is part of it, so not knowing to what level this is, I will not say much more.
Concerns of losing this team, if a coach/coaches, players, etc. don’t somehow find and force unity and leadership. Tired of hearing talent level. Blakeny mentioned talent in press conference. NO!. There is talent there. Did we recruit athletes who come from a winning organization. I would love to know the high school or JUCO records of the starting lineup. If they never won in high school or JUCO, that concerns me. You can get used to settling for playing but not winning. Winning is contagious, and winners need to be on the field. If not, you will lose the play makers who come from winning teams because they will get frustrated. I have concerns from what I overheard at an eating establishment in the booth behind us, players transferring and leaving after this year. I hope our depth if this happens is very strong in those positions. When you’re fighting in the locker room after week 2, you have major issues. Last year, I heard it was a lot later in the season before the fighting broke out. Lots of concerns, will end with a positive, I see more potential at this point in our defense and their improvement after week one. They actually played a whole game. I do think we win this week and is a toss up on how close or not I feel it will be. So will not predict, but do think we will win or I should say, we should win. GO TROY !. Bart

Be careful, your thoughts here might run off someone. You are spot on and I heard the exact same things. We have major issues that no one seems to address. Blakney stated he gave up on appearance issues along time ago.....good lord!!!! Evidently everyone from the coaches to our administration doesn't give a rats behind. We have the same issues ever year and nothing, and I mean nothing evidently changes. I guess if we get a field house then everything will magically be all better

. Blakney stated he gave up on appearance issues along time ago.....good lord!!!! I had the pleasure of spending the game with my son and although we sat in the endzone we were honored to be sitting next to a couple from Duke. This couple had been married 69 years and were there watching their great grandson playing for Duke. We talked and joke throughout the game, but the gentlemen did make an observation that I had never really noticed before. He asked me during half time when the kickers come out to warm up "why doesn't your team wear their helmets during warm up." He further explained his question to say "you are wearing your helmet in the game when you kick the ball so you should be wearing your helmet when warming up and practicing." I had no answer for this gentlemen as he was 100% correct. It is the little things that go unnoticed and it takes experience to point out. My point for this ramble is if your above statement is correct, it's not just the appearance walking from the gym to field house during Trojan Walk, but on the field also. I hope when I am 88 years old I am still that sharp.

I don't understand that either. You kick with your helmet on, seems you would warm up with it on? Of course I'm old school, there a lot I don't understand anymore

My wife is an Ole Miss Alum and when I go with her, I see things they do she never notices.

Agree 100%; It's hard to support the team anymore. I've been going to the football $10,000 drawdown for about ten years now. This year was the worse and they didn't even sell all the tickets. No excitement in the crowd at all. I too watch the players get off the bus at away games and during the Trojan Walk. It looks like many of them are self absorbed thugs. Go to Auburn or Alabama and watch their teams -- all of them dressed the same; starters and seniors usually out front; no headphones; engaging the crowd; happy, smiling faces; glad to be there. More games are decided on attitude and desire than talent.

"cannot play more than a quarter, ready to get to his party." Who would this be referring to? I have no idea, just heard it from a student when we starting doing bad. I gather it is probably more than 1. We sit in the end zone close to band/student area, hear lots of thing. Some from sober mouths some from not. and look, I will say it again, defining a party person, is wide open. They have they right to participate in a college life as long as work in classroom and field comes first and it is legal or legal age.

I have to agree with several of the comments on the Trojan walk. I would personally like to see the team look a little more professional(and I don't mean hairstyles) and certainly make an attempt to engage the crowd. My wife is an Ole Miss alum and we split game weekends, the grove in Oxford is a unique venue. That being said, when the players walk to the stadium(Walk of Champions) they are typically engaging the fans all the way. It makes a difference and really gets an already fired up crowd ready to go. On a positive note, I spoke to several Duke fans/families at the game and the hotel. The consensus seemed to be they felt welcomed and enjoyed the experience.

I, personally loved it in the arena, as did the new people that came this year. I think I'll have a beer.

My parents have been coming to this the last few years, they did like it this year better they stated. More room in the arena. They did complain of only one thing, that in the Towers close quarters allowed to see more people possibly. But that was their only comment. They look forward every year to this.

I keep waiting for reports of players posting on Facebook and Twitter during the game like they were doing a couple of years ago. Discipline and leadership!

It is true we have some player problems, but everyone wants to ignore it, say someone is lying etc. I heard from a supporter " who is in the Troy football book" they lived by a house a certain star player we had was renting and he and other players were partying to the wee hours of the morning on the Thurs before they left for Navy in 2011....35-0 Navy at half time.

I don't even really like shrimp but the shrimp was outstanding as was the chicken skewers. I made it to half way last year but I went out in the first 40 this year.

So there's no problem with that then? And I don't think any of us are hammered before the game?? But I could be wrong. Also we are 21 and older.
I know now partying takes place in college but we at least had a curfew during the season.

If you had a beer Saturday night at the game it's the same time frame. They wouldn't be hammered before the game if it was Thursday and the game was Saturday. You never mentioned age. I think I'll have a beer.
