So, I am trying my hand at this “season prediction” thing again after being one game off of Troy’s actual record last year. I said they would be 7-5. The Trojans ended up 6-6 after just missing one of the mild upsets (Arkansas State) that I called. In reality, I misjudged the outcome of three games (Louisiana-Monroe, Western Kentucky and Arkansas State). I’m going to keep the same format as I did last year. I’ll write a brief description of each game and plan more in-depth looks later in the season as those games approach. m.dothaneagle.com/blogs/troy_story/predicting-troy-s-season/article_c9a0a0bc-2d93-11e4-baac-0017a43b2370.html?mode=jqmI think I'll have a beer.

Life is better when you're drinking the kool-aid. 11-2.

I'm gonna be cautious and say 7-5.... I think 6-6 is a worst case.
Correct me if im wrong but I believe this schedule is the easiest in our FBS history. We play a actual FCS team, 3 FCS move ups, Plus NMSU and Idaho who are always towards the bottom of the FBS.
Duke is very winnable at home, especially after losing much of their key guys. I think we take the upset in this one.
UGA is the ONLY game on our schedule that would be a major upset if we won.
If we were going to have a year where we break into that 10+ win season category, this would be the schedule to do so!

I think Sat will predict the season. If we score points and play good defense I think we might win 8-10 games. If we struggle offensively and give up points we could be looking at a 4-8 to 6-6 season. I do believe until shown otherwise that we will be better offensively than last year and much improved defensively. I will go with a 8-4 prediction and a bowl victory. Go Troy!!!!

I don't think the team will fold up their tents after one loss...and I don't believe this team will quit. The outward appearance of this team is decidedly better than the past couple of years and I truly believe we're in for a historic "Trojan" ride...just get on the buckboard and enjoy the ride.

I don't like having to face a new coach the first game of the season. I remember when we went to Bowling Green and they had a new coach and we couldn't prepare for their new offense. I think it puts an advantage on UAB that they won't have after a couple of games and everyone has film to study. I think we come out with a win this week but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't score quite a few points.

I'll say this... If we beat Uab Saturday I think 7-5 is worst case scenario...
Beat Uab, then I think NMSU, Idaho, Abilene Christian, ga state are almost 100% for sure wins... That's 5
Then all we need is 2 from USA, ULM, Duke, Ga Southern, App State, ULL, UGA. That's VERY possible

Yes, majors parts of the last three years have been very rough. Skepticism is valid. But we are all Trojans and we will be cheering them on regardless.

Is anyone ready to go back and change your predictions Yea those 10-2 and we are going to beat Duke seem downright ludicrous at the current moment. But I hold out hope we can still right the ship and win the Belt.

If we get blown out by Duke we might be in for a season that will make 2011 look good. Hope and pray not but this team evidently has serious problems it has to get fixed.
