I just heard, coming hot off the press. (The HC we don’t speak of) is checking to see if any Sr. defensive players from the 2017 championship have any eligibility left to play and if not are they willing to at least Coach until he fines a cure for the defensive problem. More to come, well I hope so!

So you’re saying there’s an issues with the quarterback coach? That could be true but it was that way under both staffs in my opinion. There's only a certain amount they can coach before its up to the players to perform and that's in any sport. At this point there’s no comparison between the precious staff and the current staff.

If you listen to Finebaum, today he talked about whether you should wait to fire a coach that will be eventually fired. His contention is that every year you wait, your program becomes worse with recruiting, revenue, and fan support. He says that every year you wait, you need two years to rebuild. At least that’s what I think I heard with one earbud while at the daughter’s Irish dance class.

The offense couldn't take the next step because Kaleb. He took away to many sacks, held on to the ball way to long (this was mainly this year seemed afraid to run until it was the last second), couldn't pick up a blitz or see pressure and couldn't make some dang easy throws. The state game before he got hurt he was finally getting to buy in but I just never could this year. If he could have made some simple throws we easily have three more wins. I know several people that blame the offensive struggles at times on him. I can support the team and still not believe or trust certain players. Of course I wanted him to do well just like every other person on the team. We could have done worse than KB that is for sure but I also believe we could have been better with someone else. So you’re saying there’s an issues with the quarterback coach? I see what you did there. Nice...

Hearing markers have been laid down and semi-ultimatums have been cast in the offices and in NEZ. Some shake ups could be happening. We’ll see

Never was a big supporter of KB. The areas that he was weak in as a freshmen never improved. I have confidence that (The HC we don’t speak of) learned from his mistakes this year and the offense at least would have had at least a full year under his system. If he doesn't address the defensive side at all then that confidence takes a big hit. Yes Leavitt needs to be a HC somewhere it is still surprising that he hasn't been given another chance. I highly doubt he would come and be a DC here but he is currently only a defense Analyst at FSU. So a qb you didn't think was that great yet beat out the other qb's who you think are better than KB? Must've been a Sawyer Smith supporter?

We’ll see The fact that conversations took place about the dissatisfaction with the state of TROY football is encouraging because hopefully that means the leadership of the athletic department and university not only recognize the subpar performance but also that they will not allow it to continue.

Yes I do think Sawyer was the better QB but KB was the better athlete. I do think we would have had a better year with him but that's all speculation because we will never know. I thought Sawyer should have been the starter going into spring because of how great he did last year. Maybe had he been named starter after spring he would have stayed. I personally wanted KB to red shirt this year to make sure he was completely healthy. I am just not sure he trusted his health enough at times.

The main difference in QB play was the system. CNB's system has RPO but it is not the main part. (The HC we don’t speak of)'s system leans heavily on RPO. That in itself can cause some hesitation on plays. Also it has an effect on types of pass routes. Not a fan of RPO unless the QB is physical and fast because they will take some shots. KB did a great job switching systems considering his injuries. Sawyer did a great job last year but he might not have been the best fit for (The HC we don’t speak of) coming into the spring. Both were great QB's.
