Rumor grapetreevine has it that buzzlightyear is currently in Troy, lobbying for Joey Freshwater, to be the next head coach at Troy. Lane (Joey) and I are close!

I'm cool with Charlie Strong running the defensive side of the ball I'm cool with Charlie Strong as HC at this point. Wish we could do a straight up trade with USF. No way... he’s been awful without Teddy Bridgewater at his side. I’d love him as DC though. Another possible DC I’d love to see and it’s not all that far fetched is Todd Orlando. Texas just fired him, but they were good on defense the previous 2 years and UH was also stout defensively under his watch. I’m convinced the offense will be better next year. Multiple good RB’s returning, Todd and Geiger returning, and I like our QB situation (can’t wait to see who wins that battle in the spring.)

USF hasn't been the same since he was let go.

If (The HC we don’t speak of) is not going to let the DC go, I hate it man, but he needs to step down. Way in over his head and (The HC we don’t speak of) is not strong enough to make him get better. Just my opinion and doesn't mean I am right.

Jim Leavitt isn't coming as DC and CL couldn't hold his jock strap as a HC

I have a feeling itâs gonna be a 2 man competition between Gunnar Watson and Mcneil, the Juco kid coming in the spring. If he was confident in the other 2 scholarship qbâs I donât think CL would have offered a Juco QB. Not sure if weâll be better, but I do think weâll be at least solid. I do wish (The HC we don’t speak of) would bring in a seasoned DC and just let him handle everything on the defensive side. This recruiting cycle is gonna really tell us a lot about (The HC we don’t speak of) as a recruiter and program builder.

I’m thinking UAB may not be able to hang on to Bill Clark too much longer. Ole Miss maybe or others?

The areas that he was weak in as a freshmen never improved. I have confidence that (The HC we don’t speak of) learned from his mistakes this year and the offense at least would have had at least a full year under his system. If he doesn't address the defensive side at all then that confidence takes a big hit. Yes Leavitt needs to be a HC somewhere it is still surprising that he hasn't been given another chance. I highly doubt he would come and be a DC here but he is currently only a defense Analyst at FSU.

Other than Omar..who had zero competition and was brought in to specifically run TF's offense our last few juco qb's haven't panned out so don't be to confident in that. Watson and Screws will have a battle for sure and who knows, maybe the juco kid wins it.

My thoughts on Kaleb are that it is unfortunate that he didn't get a full 2 years of starts. This combined with a coaching staff change, in my opinion, dimmed the brightness of his star. I really enjoyed watching Kaleb play. He was exciting and made an obvious difference when it counted. Last season, when he went down, Smith stepped up and played like a true QB1. When Kaleb healed, I think he was on a whole higher level than Smith and that played a big role in why Smith transferred. My hats off to KB-QB1.

If you weren't a big supporter of KB then WTF were you supporting? Without Kaleb this O would have been as much a disaster as the D this season. cornhole bummed by the whole Troy Football scenario until some indication of when, what and if any change in staff. But to blame any part of this on KB is a delusion.

He took away to many sacks, held on to the ball way to long (this was mainly this year seemed afraid to run until it was the last second), couldn't pick up a blitz or see pressure and couldn't make some dang easy throws. The state game before he got hurt he was finally getting to buy in but I just never could this year. If he could have made some simple throws we easily have three more wins. I know several people that blame the offensive struggles at times on him. I can support the team and still not believe or trust certain players. Of course I wanted him to do well just like every other person on the team. We could have done worse than KB that is for sure but I also believe we could have been better with someone else.

Said this before, offense knew it would have to score 50 points to win games so you play with your but so tight you make a diamond out of a lump of coal. Same issue as 2011-14 with CR. You start forcing plays because you know you have to score points...and a lot of them to win.

If today is not the day then it should be soon. With early signing just a few days away it MAY be foolish to fire a coach at this moment (maybe not) however if a kid has Coach XYZ as his contact then firing XYZ is very unlikely going to result in that kid signing. With that said, Coach (The HC we don’t speak of) should do the following in MHO: Get out in front and tell the commits and fans and the present players that everything is under review. Having been a much less than anticipated outcome for the season all MUST BE UNDER REVIEW and AGAIN all will be. IT IS NEVER OK TO LOSE!!! NEVER!!! Sometimes another team will beat you and the score comes out in their favor but your losing the game is not ok. EVER!!!

oh and by the way......If we two inches from the goal line...…….WE BE GOING UNDER CENTER AND SCORING ON FIRST OR SECOND TRY...….NOT ANY OF THE SHOT GUN FROM 2 INCH LINE.....THAT WAS STUPID SO NEXT YEAR WE BE PRACTICING THAT MANUVER. IF WE CAN NOT SCORE FROM UNDER CENTER FROM THE TWO INCH LINE WE DONT DESERVE TO SCORE EVER!!!!

There's only a certain amount they can coach before its up to the players to perform and that's in any sport.
