Is there a link where we can see latest design? Like this. Not hard to put together a link and host it on Troy's website. Detailing the project and all the good it will do. Even have a spot for donations. This is not rocket science. Development/Fundraising is done everyday. I digress. Part of me says something sinister is going on with this project and the news hasn't oozed out yet. Can anyone confirm how much "is in the bank" for this project ?

You can call it what you want. I am of the opinion that we should not except mediocrity. It's an issue when your conference foes are outpacing you with facilities. Some FCS schools are starting to have better facilities then we have. Do I want Coach Brown or anybody from the athletic department to call me on a daily basis? No. I do expect to be recognized for being a contributor to the program. My dollar is just as green as the next guy's. We get to hear be patient a lot. How many years do we have to be patient?

Fire everyone. Hire the B****ers, pissers and moaners from this message board. Problems solved. Do I have it right? No, fire the people not doing the job. Pretty simple for most of us. Keep enabling the problem you become part of the problem. Like giving a crackhead more drugs than turning around and telling everyone it's not the crackhead's fault.

No time to roll up the tents.Troy Football is in a better place with OR without a poured foundation in the North Endzone.I would rather wait and build once and right than to succumb to external pressures from fans, recruiting and throw up a ULM type building.
Full Disclosure: I do not work for the University

Full Disclosure: I do not work for the University Agree can't fold up. But the problem is that the dedicated alumni that have held up the tent have been told the same bs for almost 10 years now. How can alumni and supporters affect change and get moving to the future ? Is withholding contributions the only mechanism to get the Admin to hear their supporters ?

To stop giving when the goal obviously hadn't been reached would be counterproductive. But, each and everyone has the option to give or not.

I have heard no one call for anyone to be fired. The people I have met personally in the athletic dept are dedicated and hard working. What everyone wants is to be given a correct story on the progress of the field house. Don't do presentations to alumni, fans and donors if all the info isn't correct. It is like the kid who cried wolf, pretty soon people don't believe what you say. In five months we have gotten three different stories on the field house including a June start day when evidently we didn't even have bids on it yet. Not only does this look bad in the eyes of donors and fans but also recruits. If we told recruits in the spring we were breaking ground in June and could be in by the start of the 2017 season and they come to a game in October and see nothing has started, what do you say to him and his parents?? We have to get the correct scenario set in stone and deal with it. If it's the 2018 season then set that date and run with it.

DT84 does not care if they put a giant Pokemon in the end zone if we win. I do realize that the facilities attract recruits but so does winning.
Football is 33 days away and yall are B!%#^ing about a building. DT84 misses the good ole gotroytrojans.com days when we b!&%$ed about losing.

I received a phone call from someone who absolutely does not work at the university, and was told this is the most up-to-date rendering of the facility. It should be completed by August...2084. This whole thread is ridiculous.

Accepted. All of us want what's best for Troy U. and Athletics, as a whole. We don't always agree on the path to getting there. But, to me, the longer it takes, the more jaded some will become. Now's the time for all of us to embrace our own, individual Troy U Spirit, as best we can. Go Trojans!

I haven't called for anyone to be fired. I just stated I wish they could get a date or goal stated that is set in stone. They have offered a friend of mines son here. I have been asked on the status of the field house....I'm not sure what to tell him. From spring till now I have heard three different time lines and one other timeline supposedly by someone in the know. I have no problems with the great people working in the athletic dept. Steve Stroud has done a fantastic job of reaching out to former players here in cent. FL. and has done a great job of keeping us up to date on the whole athletics scene. I'm sure they are told info from the administration. What I don't understand is why they are getting dates that are not correct?
