Are we officially in the midst of a late season collapse?

We have been in a five year collapse. Paying NB $750,000 a year to get the same results we had last year. This is getting ridiculous. I know LB ran the program in the ground but coaches are hired to win and turn things around, not give speeches to make you feel good

I know LB ran the program in the ground but coaches are hired to win and turn things around, not give speeches to make you feel good I'm not even touching any of that. It just seems to me that all of the positives that were built up - win or lose - earlier in the season aren't having any affect now. If the team were really improving they would be able to be more competitive than they are now. Not talking about winning every game, I'm talking about not even being competitive with Georgia State and getting blown off the field by Georgia Southern.

After their win last week, I'm not surprised GA State is winning this. I'm disappointed by how much, but to be honest, the offense hasn't been that impressive this season except against truly awful teams. App State seems to have been the one really bright anomaly that showed the true potential they have. Also disappointed by how the boys' frustration is showing on the field. I still see the improvement, but I also get the impression that they're ready for the season to be over and don't care that much anymore. It's not easy to get a team mired in frustration and a losing mentality out of that, especially when they walk away with a losing record. The new enthusiasm dies out. I still see potential, though I think some player positions as well as coaching positions need new blood.
I also think they need to burn the black jerseys.

I'm just guessing here, just my point of view.
Played like beasts against App State, but lost. Team was let down, but kinda thought they were "there." Trojans go slack against Georgia Southern and get taught they are indeed NOT "there" yet. Also knocked out of any hope of a bowl. Troy is now ready for the season to be over, NB is kicking a dead horse. Georgia State still playing inspired football with bowl hopes. Also senior day. Expect close loss to the 'Roid Ragers.
Didn't think 5-7 would be optimistic for next year, but here we are.

My Christmas Wish List:
1. A QB that plays smart and throws accurately. 2. An O-Line that can actually block and make holes for the running game. 3. Wide receivers that aren't scared to be hit. 4. Wide receivers that actually have enough talent to catch a football.
Is that too much to ask for???

I just realized that NB won't be rebuilding from LB's last four years, he'll be rebuilding from his own first.

It certainly could have been better, but I feel like the team still has the potential to be moving in the right direction. NB has proved nothing YET, but I'm definitely not writing him off. It's early still and we all knew this was going to be a tough year. Several other Sun Belt teams have really improved while we've been sliding. GaSo and AppState particularly impress me given they were in the lower division just two years ago. I wish Western Kentucky was still in the conference, but I'm glad most of the other bums are gone, the conference is stronger now than it was in 2011/2012 in my opinion. I think Jax State is another team that, if they were to come up, have the tools to jump right in the fray. Not saying I want to see that, as it would make recruiting even more difficult, but renewing that rivalry and making it the end-of-season game would be great fun for the fans.
All that said, there is a lot of rebuilding left to do, so I'm looking forward to next year when we ought to be able to hold NB a little more accountable. At the least I would expect a 6-6 season a low-level bowl game like the Camellia to be satisfied with Year 2, but y'all have to remember how low were were brought and how far that means we have to climb. Hey, just think, as far as dealing with salty old secure coaches that we could be in a UCF-style backslide. At least several of the losses in the second half of the season like App-State stayed close.

Also funny how the people saying we are in a complete rebuild, our program was in the cellar etc are the same people who defended Blakney and said " I trust him to right the ship" " LB knows how to recruit" etc. I wonder if we go 3-9 will they blame it on Blakney now or on Neal?

The state doesn't stop at PC and Jacksonville 3) revamp the way we run this offense 4) qb 5) WIN Those Florida recruits working well for that 0-12 UCF squad. Troy/Dothan/Montgomery areas are loaded with talent. Alabama has worked very well for Arkansas State

This is not what anyone wanted....however over the next two years as we begin to right ship I hope the naysayers of today will be honest and not say to coach...."I never doubted you and I was with you all the way..." And I will be honest and say if CNB does not turn it around that all of you know so much more than I do at this point.....I will state publicly 2 end of seasons I was a foolish koolaid drinker.....mark the date November 27th 2017.....I hope someone will remind me to note publicly that I am a fool....likewise I will remind you to go from the depths that sometimes you have to believe in a process instead of instant magic

Also how is the Montgomery /Dothan and Juco recruits working for us?
