Troyset I am not sure if next year dies improve that much if we will blame it on the past or present but if a relief pitcher comes in and runners at 2 and 3rd that if they score they count against the pitcher that allows them there in the first despite the relief guy giving up the hit....I know this is not baseball but I am suggesting that the previous staff is at least significantly involved

Those Florida recruits working well for that 0-12 UCF squad. Troy/Dothan/Montgomery areas are loaded with talent. Alabama has worked very well for Arkansas State They were in the Fiesta Bowl two years ago. USF and Taggert just went 8-4. Also how is the Montgomery /Dothan and Juco recruits working for us? Neal brown didn't go the juco route last off season. Arkansas state has had winning season every year since 2011 with Alabama Recrutes from our back yard.

We will have 8 Juco at least. At least 10 Juco offers in the last month. We have time to visit Dodge City, KS and Scooba, MS but recruiting the #3 talent state we don't need to do?? Insanity= doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results

Everyone calm down. Be patient. 3 to 4 more years we will have a winning record and a chance for the Rosebud or Kubota Bowl.

Coastal Carolina comes in next year and they are loaded for bear They just lost to Charleston Southern who we destroyed. And App St and Georgia Southern both had losing records their last year in FCS and they both throttled us their first year in the Sun Belt. Coastal played in the FCS title game last year and were ranked #1 at a point this season

I get the feeling Bryan Holmes was mad about one of three things: either Brandon Silvers poor throwing efforts, Neal Brown's play calling, or other WR's not catching passes.
But seriously, we need to some wide receivers... the guys coming back for next season can't catch anything. This offense will be in trouble without Ruben next season.

I just realized that NB won't be rebuilding from LB's last four years, he'll be rebuilding from his own first. I wouldn't say rebuilding. He'll be building upon the improvements and failures from this foundation year. We don't need to rip out the foundation and start from the dirt again. This year has been dirty - tearing down and getting rid of rotten wood, replacing worn out lines to the road, and trying desperately to get high speed internet run down to our end of the block. Its a dirty, ugly, messy process. It takes longer than we want but it will yield results we're happy with.

How about this for an idea. Let's all spend one day, just 24 little hours, trying to see the positives in our program rather than trying to find someone/some group/some strategy to blame for where the program is. We have a tradition of which we can be proud. We have an assistant coach nominated for a national award for the improvement made by his squad. For a good part of the season we saw improvement...the list could go on. It is really frustrating to come here and read all the negativity that abounds. As Waylon famously sang, "It's the same ole tune, fiddle and guitar. Where do we take it from here?"

I do believe there are some in this thread that enjoy Troy losing more than they enjoy Troy winning. No sir, their are some that except the status quo. We sat for 5 years listening to people defend LB....he hasn't forgot how to coach, I trust his recruiting decisions, this staff knows how to coach, we don't have a discipline problem, we don't have off field issues, we just have players that won't do their assignments, our penalties and unsportsmanlike penalties were all because Sunbelt refs have it in for Troy and on and on. Now these same people claim NB has a major rebuilding job, he has to fix discipline issues, he has no talent to work with. NB himself has stated how we had serious discipline issues, how guys weren't doing the right things off the field and in the classroom, how we were out of shape, he hired a new strength coach. VK stated they had to teach COLLEGE players how to tackle because the prior staff didn't teach them anything. No, their are some that are sick of losing. The problem isn't that, the problem is all the defenders of the reasons we are losing. The reason we are losing is because the other team is scoring more than we do. We are playing at an FCS level of scholarship players. Neal has made all of this very clear. We need depth and we need talent. That's all. You can post the same thing over and over and it's not going to change. It is what it is. They can't fire LB and second time and that change it.

To say this year has been a disappointment is an understatement. No, I wasn't expecting a conference championship but I was expecting to win more than 3 games this year.

And yea hearing the same excuses form same people on here gets old too. We were promised change from top to bottom. Still have displince problems, a probable 3-9 back to back record, mistakes, etc. so yea you can only beat your head against the wall and stay positive.

I have no problem remaining positive. The record might end up the same as last year, but it's obvious to anyone that is actually watching this team that there is s major difference in the two teams.

I will give NB kudos for taking a stand on discipline and actually sitting guys who don't do right. If Lb hadn't coddled players so bad, we wouldn't be dealing with this crap. As far as major differences between last year on the field? Defense was improved but they regressed the last two games, offense IMO is worse than last year because we blew out GA State and Idaho last year and we barely scored against them this year. As far as records, we will see Sat if we improve or finish 3-9

GSU and Idaho were winless in the league last year and this year GSU is looking to obtain bowl eligibility this coming week. And Idaho has has a few wins this year as well. They are both improved and you can't expect a blow out win this year just because we beat them last year. Going by that we should have expected a loss to CSU and ULM.

Classic. Debating which 3-9 season is the better one.
Regardless, coaches get paid to win. Wins, everything else are excuses.
