I will have to respectfully disagree. It looks like Adidas said, "Hey guys, we designed a uniform to represent your season. It, too, is godawful and utterly unwatchable."

I actually agree with AtlTrojan.....This is my favorite next to the all black and all cardinal.

I will add this to my previous statement. Whilst I do not care for these (I just think they are too gray and drab), if we win, they will be my favorite of the year.

They are more unique... I've always wanted a silver uniform. It's stands out from Alabama and auburn To be frank, I've never thought we had an issue standing out from them. Nor do I care. Honestly, I admire Auburn. They've stood by their traditional uniforms in this age of crazy, glitzed up costumes. The only time I have ever loved something that we did differently with regards to our uniforms was our Al Lucas throwbacks against FIU in 2005. Otherwise, our uniforms have gotten progressively plainer each year (with the removal of the pants stripe and the shrinking of our chest logo) and more outlandish (with these things today and the CFL black jerseys we used). We should have never changed from the beautiful uniforms that we wore during out SBC reign. We were The Mighty Trojan Death Machine then. Now We're just The Mighty Trojan Joke. (This post might have combined my frustration with the season and let these uniforms have all of it. Off the soapbox now).

These are pretty cool! I respectfully disagree. Those are the ugliest Troy Unis I've ever seen. It's like Adidas said "Hey we got a bunch of material that no one else wants. You guys want them?" I am partial to the black helmets and jerseys, and silver pants from the mid 90s. Those were some sharp Unis.

well everyone is entitled to their own opinion....I have mine and you guys have yours. You are absolutely right. Now if they wanted to go with some type of patriotic three for Veterans Day, I'd be all for it. Other than that I think it is hard to get excited about, or introduce, "gimmick" Unis in the midst of a 1-8 season. The players don't deserve it.

I think we should go out their in our standard unis. Just play the game and go home. No sense in doing ANYTHING flashy. It's like putting a sweater on a cat: very pointless and ineffectual.

They look like gray (not silver) longjohns. Oh well. I've never liked the solid color look on uniforms anyway, so these do nothing for me.

I am quite sure it was, but plans can change. If we were 7-2 you are right, the Unis (and they are still ugly as sin regardless) wouldn't matter. My point is this year's team doesn't deserve anything special like this. They just don't. Fresno State has a tradition of putting a green V on the back of their helmets. The team was playing so poorly that year, the coach had those decals removed until they started to play better and earned them back. Long story short, why reward them for mailing it in this season? It should be a reward that is earned.

I can honestly say short of an undefeated season, I would hate these, regardless. That being said, they look much better on the field than on the mannequin.

I'm not liking the execution of these uniforms today, though I'm not opposed to the idea. They are definitely not silver though - 100% grey.
What would improve them - first off, the red helmets just don't go. I get the practical reason for using them, but a grey helmet with the red Trojan logo would fit much better - that and the mismatched red or white longsleeves the players are wearing don't go.
But it's not a fashion contest, so if they win it won't matter a bit. And if they lose it won't really matter either.

What do Allbarn do, because that what TMTDM do and 3/4ths of TMTDM fan get all lathered-up that TMTDM copy Barn. TSOTWG copy everything they hear on ESPN so why not Gridiron team?

Nice change from the usual cardinal and white. They have room for potential, but I do enjoy seeing something a little more flashy than the normal unis.

Let's get back to winning first and then worry about making a fashion statement

They didn't look as bad in play as they did on the mannequin. The tv picked up a bit more detail, and the cardinal long sleeves helped break up the drab gray on those wearing the undershirts. The white shirts weren't as good, but they also helped break up the solid color.

Gray uniforms for a gray game day. Don't care what they wear, as long as they win wearing it!
