That depends greatly on whomever else might be bidding for his services.

That depends greatly on whomever else might be bidding for his services. Yes. He could come to Troy recruit better than in Kansas, win quicker, and move on faster. Just a thought.

TROY is closer to recruiting bases he knows and better talent than Kansas. They probably have more money to recruit though. I could sell a kid in the Southeast to come play at TROY much faster than Kansas anyday. We are down but Kansas has a much harder trek to get to the top of their conference than TROY. Either place would be a stepping stone for him. So go to the one you can win the fastest.

And numerous other schools on the south east, whoever we get, better be a good recruiter and have an amazing rapport with recruits and their families.

Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, FSU, miss state, ole Miss are all fighting it out on a national level now. 4 - 5 star recruits. We are fighting with uab, usa, Georgia Southern, Georgia State. We start winning again. We hire a great recruiter. We will be ok. Bham, Atlanta, and mobile are bigger draws city wise. But they don't have the tradition Troy and Georgia Southern has. With the right hire we should be able to recruit great in al, ms, ga, and fl. Limited scholarships help also. This hire is crucial.

A lot of expensive-sounding names here. Some sound pretty exciting, some would worry me. I guess it will depend on if JH and Dear Leader want to make a splash - it would seem very in line with the Trojan style to bring up some unknown small-time HS coach or even someone with previous ties to the program, although with a new AD I don't know if that's as likely as it might be otherwise.
Definitely has made the season a bit more interesting, no doubt about it.

I am pulling for Neal Brown. I like the Miss. State DC option. Don't know much about Frank Wilson but it appears he's a stud as well. Go Trojans!

Said earlier, Troy could get a younger more energetic Coach from I-AA that has been a proven winner that understands what it takes to win without SEC type facilities Now, with what we pay currently. Our current pay is within range and could bump it up and be near the top.
