I don't know if Mike Turk woukd take the job but I would love to see it. To all the people who don't think he can do it, don't know Mike Turk. He was a killer recruiter for Troy. He used to recruit my area of Florida and just one name he recruited was a RB named Dewitt Beterson. He also recruited Thomas Olmstead and Toris Rutledge. Don't think D3 is hard, try recruiting players with no athletic scholarships to a private school that costs three times what it costs to go to Troy. Mike is a winner and a great leader. No question he could do the job. I don't think it woukd happen but I have no doubt he would lead us back to the top. If you know Turk you would agree Nothing personal, but I don't think he can handle it. Nothing personal but I think your wrong. I honestly don't think he will get it, but if he did I would have no worries that he could win. Maybe as a fundraiser we could get a pool going and see if anyone guesses the new coach. Who will be the oddsmaker though???

Pruitt = can't afford him as he is close to 1m at uga w/out the hc pressure Chizik= no Turk= love him but not sure he is ready. He does have 63% win record. Maybe in a few more years Brick= he wants a shot but, again, not sure about the money. Probably making $400 to 500 k now. I believe his contract expires this season. Yes T franklin= no as HC yes as oc Lash lee= more time and experience needed N brown= can't run a play on the 2 from under center. No Campbell= yes Orgeron= yes And yes Hemi, I will miss LB. class act all these years. I think Pruitt makes $750-800,000. A head coaching job has an appeal that you don't get as a coordinator/assistant. It is not unusual for a very good coordinator to take a pay cut for a head coaching job. There's more to it than just base pay. If you're making $500,000 or better in Troy, you're living pretty good. However, a guy like Pruitt usually considers schools like Troy a stepping stone and they move quickly if they are successful -- look at Arky State and West ktucky

A proven coach at the FCS level is the way to go. Really no difference in budgets and resources other than the scholly reduction in FCS.
Edit: Proven HEAD coach. Sorry.

Campbell, Turk, and Haley would all be great choices! Played with all three ... known them for years. Yes, there may be some "homerism" in wanting someone with Troy connections, but other things being equal ... I think it's advantage to have someone who knows and loves Troy! Also, I know these are quality men/coaches! I know there are good options without Troy connections ... but Just a thought! Facilities are also a big factor ... fundraising will be key! Any word on progress of the Football Facility? Any big money Troy folks that'd would like their name on the facility??

I have 100% confidence Hemi buys the winning Ticket in Pensacola on the way to the USA game or in Statesboro at the GA Southern game
