I have to hope that after 3 years of Dip that AD would make it easier to get out of a contract with GP than it was with Fester! I hope it doesn’t come to that and I hope that GP can turn this around but I am pessimistic ! If I were GP I would demote the O line coach , also restructure his approach on every aspect of what they have been doing! He says they are in fight mode but they don’t show any fight He also says he doesn’t sleep well when we lose so I guess he hasn’t been getting a lot of sleep! Get it turned around or step down!

I’m glad I was out of state for this game. My wife and daughter attended and both said that even for a Thursday game there was more aluminum showing than usual. This team has issues on just about everything. I quit watching when our special teams guy all but sexually assaulted Texas State’s punter in the 2nd quarter and jumped up like he had done something great. I know the cupboard was pretty bare for this staff to work with, but damn… I’m not calling for anyone to be fired, especially halfway into their first season on the job, but some improvement would be appreciated. All I’m hoping for the rest of the season is that whoever keeps bringing the Pappy Van Winkle to our tailgate keeps attending or it’s back to the Blanton’s

Disagree with blaming the players and attempting to codify that this position coach has no accountability whatsoever in the performance of this unit.

When Coach GP says they’ll fix it, I believe it. When exHC CL said the same I never felt confident they would. I want us to win just as bad as y’all do and last night I let some frustration get the best of me on X but as I think today I had to remind myself that GP was left with almost nothing.
I’d rather be aTrojan than a barner, bammer, chicken, lizard, or kitten fan any day of the week even in the rough seasons.

Kid trying to make a play. His angle was wrong and that was it. If that had been correct he would have been close with actually a great effort.

I'm going to post this here because I don't feel it warrants starting a new thread and it is related to the topic at hand. I'm not here to defend any one - head coach, assistant coach, or player, but to make a point that.
I looked back at the previous threads where the relative youth and lack of experience on this team was discussed, specifically the thread where numbers were provided by an athletic department representative. I couldn't find the listed the number of transfers that are seeing playing time but I do know that A LOT of the players we see on the field came through the portal. Almost all, if not all, of those transfers are guys that weren't playing as much as they desired at their previous school, we didn't get any 5 star portal transfers that came to TROY for more exposure or larger NIL deals.
So why weren't they starting/playing before they got to TROY? There are multiple possible explanations. Maybe they lacked the skill to be starters/high leverage guys. Maybe they exhibited an inability to quickly grasp complex schemes and concepts. Maybe they were undisciplined players who didn't pay attention to detail. Who knows? The bottom line is the blame, if you will, for lack of execution, lack of discipline, and lack of physical skills needed to excel can be shared among everyone involved in the program. Coaches must teach and demand excellence and discipline and players must accept the responsibility to display those traits. At this point, we have what we have, and I can't imagine that anyone involved in the program is intentionally "phoning it in." I am as disgusted as anyone at the continued mistakes and and penalties caused by lack of discipline, but there comes a point that all that can be done to instill those traits in a person has been done (If you've ever raised teenaged boys, you know what I mean). Has this staff done all they can to bring about the discipline that's needed? I don't know and frankly, neither does anyone else on this board because we aren't woven into the fabric of the team or involved in day to day operations. The issues we are seeing are not single cause issues and, IMO, can't be solved OVERNIGHT by replacing personnel, whether it be coaching staff or players. Will there need to be evaluations held at the end of the season and, perhaps, changes in personnel. Absolutely yes on evaluations, perhaps yes on changes in personnel, but I don't see how making those changes half way home will be beneficial. For that reason, I'm taking deep breaths every week and looking for improvement.

You come in here after the games and only say the same boring stuff like “dumb post”. I bet if I looked at your house on google earth, I would see a busted down truck with a wet mattress in the back. Who leaves a wet mattress in the back of a pickup? What were you doing with that mattress?

I don’t agree with the officials had zero affect. PHig should have been ruled down or touchdown on the field. But calling it a fumble didn’t lead to clear video evidence to overturn. That’s 7 points and could have turned the game around.

And making asinine statements about things you don’t understand makes you sound like incompetent fan at the FBS level. Tell me what I don’t understand oh wise one. I admitted they know more than any of us on here. Plenty of coaches do. At the sane time a lot of those coaches are not cut out to be head coaches. If you don’t get that, then that’s your deal. He doesn’t know a damn thing.Arguing with him is like arguing with a Democrat (which he probably is).He would have chipdip back on the sidelines if he could. He tries to blow sunshine and rainbows up everybody’s butt.Screw him!!!

Some of this may be circumstances in the surrounding states. There are still a fair number of places in Georgia without power, for example. Given how much of Troy's fans have to travel in, some planning to go may just not be able or comfortable yet.

I think “Blowing Sunshine and rainbows up your” is probably one of the best names for a business that specializes in colonics that I have ever heard. Close to “Nuttin but liquors” for a chain of liquor stores. I just think all of us is trying to deal with this season as we can. I will be there cheering hard when Beach Chickns come to town even if we don’t win one or both of our next games!

That’s 7 points and could have turned the game around. I thought that too until I saw the replay after arriving back home. When viewed from the North End Zone camera, it was obvious, beyond dispute, that the ball was ripped loose at first contact. PHig was still upright and on about the two when the ball came out of his hands, hit his hip and was held there by the defender as he went down. While true that the loose ball wasn't visible from the home side stands or on the stadium replay until he was on the ground, it was completely out of his hands and control well before the moment. It was, unfortunately, the correct call.

We escaped any major damage thank goodness but I had neighbors that weren't so fortunate and a town just a few miles down the road is basically gone. Now we have another one coming that's supposed to hit Wednesday. I was planning on going to the ULM game but Helene took care of that. Was most of the day Friday with my chainsaw helping neighbors clear trees and our road and part of Saturday also
