Is there video of the full game out there? I can't seem to find it. I'm working on something and it will be helpful if the game footage is out there.

How this team is still in the position to have an at-large bid, I don't know. Although they're about to lose their grip on any at-large bid hopes. They've played like crap a majority of the year, but have had a lot of good luck and timely hitting. Plus Shane Lewis.
Troy's fielding percentage is almost the worst in the nation. We're down there with Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Alabama A&M, and Prairie View A&M statistically in that category. Troy is also at the bottom in errors per game... literally 8 spots away from being dead last in the nation in errors. And last night Troy committed 4 errors and essentially gave Alabama the game.
The players were so incredibly careless last night against Alabama. It was unbelievable.
That's been the problem all year. Meade is a magician with the pitchers and hitting has been pretty top notch. But fielding is a big problem.

MarKendrick Beall was likely going to be a starter at guard (he started with the ones at T-Day) and he hit the portal. Smith moved to guard at Auburn this spring. He was working with the third unit by the end of the spring but with it being a new position I think there is obviously a ton of room for growth there. I feel like Troy will probably start him out there. He has three years of eligibility, so if its not working out at guard he can always move back to tackle. He's gigantic, so I feel like at the very least it gives you some solid depth. Do we know why he left? I have not spoken to him and I'm gonna be honest, I haven't even really thought about it since right after he announced... Now, I'm looking at his Twitter and he's completely blacked it out and removed his announcement. He also received an offer from Texas State right after (and I assumed maybe he just wanted to get back closer to home). I gotta look into it more, its kinda weird.

From everything I've been able to find.
Transfers Out: Kirk Cole (undecided) Remy Graham (undecided) Duke Miles (High Point) Christian Turner (Texas State) Nate Tshimanga (undecided)
In: Tayton Conerway (JUCO) Theo Seng (JUCO) Marcus Rigsby Jr. (JUCO) Jerrell Bellamy (JUCO)
Victor Valdes, Thomas Dowd, Kerrington Kiel and Myles Rigsby are incoming freshmen.
So, that's eight scholarships right there. Aamer Muhammad (senior), Christyon Eugene (senior) and Randi Ovallie (So.) make up the other scholarship guys, I believe. I may be off there but if that's right Troy would still have two more open scholarships.

Christian Turner is going to Texas State. Duke Miles is going to High Point I believe It also looks like Remy Graham and Kirk Cole are no longer on the team/transferred? I wouldn't be mad about this. Let's get as many experienced players in as possible. Cole and Graham hit the portal earlier this spring, about the same time.

Troy lost a decent amount of backup players to the transfer portal. Guys that were probably not going to even see the field this year. Yet we're replacing them with players that clearly have talent, and that even played some at their previous school as freshmen. That's a pretty good trade-off. Solid roster building. Refresh ole cornhole's memory. Did we pick up that 7+' 280 lb Transfer that we've needed for years?? Not yet. Wish we could. 6'10" Tshimanga will have to do. He's in the portal.

I mentioned this on a Podcast that I was on today (and I think on here somewhere the other day), Parker has a chance to be the guy that fills the void left by RaJae. Big body, good blocker, fast, big-time deep threat and makes circus catches routinely. If you saw that one-handed grab in the end-zone at T-Day, he does that consistently in practice, too. And we only have him for one year, don't we? Two years of eligibility.

Very intrigued by Markus Ferrell and Landon Parker. We have a chance to have a really good receiver room this year if everyone can stay healthy. Having Barber and Rogers back is going to be a big deal. Any insight on the players? Goose looked terrific. Gunnar had a rough first quarter but also had at least two receivers slip on their routes and a bad drop. One of the slips led to a pick from Reddy Steward. Defense looked solid there wasn't much of an attempt to run the ball but Landon Parker made two highlight reel catches. I feel like the loss of RaJae Johnson is something that has been sort of underrated for some of the circus catches he made, being a deep threat and his blocking. I think Parker is going to be able to at least partial fill that hole, he's not as big as RaJae but does a lot of the same things. Ethan Conner is going to be a really good TE, too. Reggie Bracy looked really solid when he was in the game at safety. A lot of guys didn't play at all (Jabre, McDonald, Solomon, etc.) and some just a few snaps (Kimani for example). Some walk-ons got the chance to make plays. Jaidyn Wilson (Brundidge) and Kaden Cupp (New Brockton) both have big second halfs. JUCO receiver Markus Ferrell went over 100 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Some unofficial stats (I kept with a pen and pad): White team totaled 304 yards of offense (265 passing) and the Black Team netted 181 yards. QBs Gunnar Watson: 3/10, 21 yds, 1 INT Goose: 6/10, 107 yards, 2 TD Tucker Kilcrease: 5/14, 61 yard, 1 TD, 1 INT Jameson Holcomb: 6/8, 85 yards, 1 TD Quayde Hawkins: 3/4, 44 yards JD Sherrod: 3/4, 89 yards, 1 TD Asa Martin: 2 carries, 29 yards; 2 catches, 20 yards Markus Ferrell: 4 catches, 119 yards, 2 TD Landon Parker: 3 catches, 57 yards, 1 TD Jaidyn Wilson: 3 catches, 77 yards, 1 TD Kaden Cupp: 5 catches, 41 yards Eric Shaw: 1 sack, 1 FF Reggie Bracy: 1 INT Reddy Steward: 1 INT Starting OL was: OT: Grant Betts OG: Daniel King C: Eli Russ OG: Markendrick Beall OT: Derrick Graham

I'm a huge jersey head so I really wanted to snag a cpl of jerseys (trying to get a signed jersey of every player I cover that goes to the NFL, just a personal thing) but when I saw the line I tapped out. It was probably three times as long around 12:30 than it was last year. I went back down to see if it had lessened any at around 1:45 and it was just as long. I would have had to miss part of the first quarter and I was trying to keep stats as best I could.

I would strongly recommend Lunch with Legends for any Troy fan. Great event and the guys genuinely seem to enjoy it. Very cool to see Blakeney with his former players, too.

Kudos to Hugh Freeze for speaking up outside the box. It's done at every other level, why not college. I liked HCJS thoughts, play it home and away, get two scrimmages out of it. Nothing to lose by either party, as Freeze said it reduces your injury possiblities by 50% because you play with your 11 at a time rather than 22 on the field at once. The only issue I see with it is the current NCAA spring rules. 15 practices and only four in full pads. How do you evaluate, implement and prepare for a opponent in that frame? Yes fall camp is similar but you had the Spring to implement and evaluate NCAA just passed a rule to let Division II schools do it. I would imagine DI is next.

LOL. This is Hugh Freeze getting his name and the program into the news cycle. It worked. There is 0% chance that schools are going to risk injury and their potential chance for competing for a title over a glorified practice, even if they adjust the rules. This is something I will never understand even though it gets said everywhere. In no way whatsoever is there some weird greater risk of injury if you are playing another team in a spring game, rather than yourself. Regardless it's still live football and, regardless, the kicking game won't be live and QBs will be protected like every spring game. Regardless, I imagine we're probably headed to more of an OTA format in the coming years rather than an exhibition game. High schools already use OTAs, as do the NFL. It's virtually a scrimmage where you have goods go against goods from an opposing team in the same sorts of drills you would do in a regular practice with different situational 11 on 11 portions and probably a few scrimmage portions. Regardless, I didn't mean to say regardless that many times.

I'm excited to see who is gonna be that 2nd running back. DK was great last year intrested to see who fits that role. On defense I know we have elite edge guys, hope to see Medina back healthy on the dline Asa Martin

Figured I would give a few of my takeaways from the first two days (remember everyone is still in shirts and helmets, no real hitting going on and this is VERY early).
- Eli Russ and Boaz both got a lot of reps at center with the "ones." Sumrall explicitly said every player on the line will get some burn at center in the spring (similar to last year). - Asa Martin looks VERY smooth. - Defensive backs have been very active and I personally saw three pick sixes today during 11-on-11 drills. Bracy (Iowa safety) has worked primarily with safeties during the sessions I've seen. Keyshawn Swanson made a ton of plays on Tuesday and Thursday. - All the QBs (for the most part) look solid. Gunnar seems to be a bit lighter on his feet, how much of that is because they aren't in pads yet, IDK, but coaches said he's definitely faster and stronger. Goose had a 30-yard run today (again, in shorts and helmet remember that). - Raymond Cutts is going to be a monster. He's bigger than Jibunor and is already getting reps with the ones. He told me today he's working solely as a defensive end right now. Solomon is wearing No. 6, not sure how significant that is. The thought of a formation with he, Cutts and Jibunor on the field at the same time is terrifying. - If you molded a prototypical inside linebacker they would come out looking like Steve Cattledge. He's getting plenty of reps with the ones already and looks REALLY fast. Jayden McDonald still isn't practicing (knee) but he and Cattledge could be a formidable duo inside. - Jabre Barber looks good and to be 100 percent at this point. He's without question the biggest weapon at receiver right now. Landon Parker is much, much bigger than I expected him to be and looks polished. Chris Lewis gives me RaJae vibes, I definitely could see him filling that role this season. - If you look at the roster you will notice there is no punter listed. That isn't a typo. Landon Parker is punting right now (and looks good) but there will be at least one (probably two) added after the spring.
