Why is it that when the band isn't at a football game, everyone complained? Then when the band gets brought up, everyone, *cough* Ho, Hemi *cough* complain that they take over a thread? I mean, 300+ people make a difference, no matter what. Look, I even put this in the right place sFi_lance stirthepot

Seriously? Duck Commander/Buck Commander's hometown is Monroe. Willie Robertson is an alum (even though he's been seen sporting Purple and Gold) Willie graduated from Harding University . Don't know if he got another degree from there but they put Monroe on the map Most folks have seen A&E Network's hottest new reality TV show "Duck Dynasty", but may not know that Willie Robertson, CEO of Duck Commanders, is a ULM alum ('96, B.S.). www.ulm.edu/goodnews/apr2012/

www.ulmwarhawks.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=19000&ATCLID=209574850... ... ... The new facility is the first athletic facility in ULM history to be funded completely by private donations and it is the first athletic facility enhancement since 1979. A total of 31 donors, comprised of individuals, families and companies, combined to pledge three million dollars for Phase I of the facility. ... ... ... That's awesome for them, but what stands out for me is how few people got them there. Only 31 donors chipped in 3 million dollars? Those are some pretty big individual donations from individuals, families, and companies willing to invest in their team. A hundred grand a piece basically. *Quack, Quack, Quack*

One day I'd like to start making the away trips, once I get on my feet financially. I lose at least two weekends during football season thanks to band contests, today and next Saturday, but I'd like to go back to ULL and go to ULM just too actually see the towns. I enjoyed MTSU when we went....kinda

And "I seen that" vs. "I saw that".....It has nothing to do with being grammatically correct for me - folks who use seen this way just sound like a drooling ignoramus. The same sort who would go barefoot into Walmart; a definite drag on the human gene pool. Hold on now, I've used that before! I'm not that big of a drag, it's just being raised with a 96 year old grand father.

They grew before us, I didn't know all of that information. Just imagine, it could've been Troy vs. Bama in the Iron Bowl haha

Let's be honest here, they only have the "tradition and fanbase" because they were the only two schools anyone heard about for the longest time. Let's remember why Troy was founded in the first place, a teacher's college. It wasn't to be a football team, it wasn't to create agriculturists or lawyers, it was to educate educators. I'm just as frustrated as anyone else, but let's be realistic. If Alabama or Auburn had Troy's roots, do you honestly think they wouldn't be in the same situation we are right now? Just some perspective

Well, until a certain person with his name on a building is gone, none of our opinions amount to a hill of beans

I honestly want to know, how do people think that fair weather fans are bad? Sure, when times get tough, they go away, but when they're here, they're here spending money and increasing the Trojan brand. Not only are they important, they bring in new people that could potentially become "real fans". People are people and everyone should be important at a entertainment event, whether they spend 15 dollars or 1500 dollars.
Some would be surprised how many potential fans are ran off by the "real" fans that do nothing but bad talk the ones that leave at half time, or watch other games, etc.

I would rather have 100 "casual" fans than ten true fans.
The true fans will give money, but it's a lot easier for 100 people to give 1000 dollars than it is for 10

I wear my Troy gear win or lose, I will support my school. I can't stand losing....especially to an FCS crap team or by 66

Do we have the fans/support to NOT buy it out? I say no....I'm sure that if Hartwell wanted too/had too that he could find the money in the budget.
