Maybe my eyes are tricking me, but earlier today we were a 1.5 favorite. Now it is UTSA by 1. What changed?

I am on Twitter and am seeing A-LOT of players getting TROY offers. I have never seen Twitter this busy with Troy football offers. A lot of portal kids, a few JUCOs and some high school. And geographically diverse. Recruiters/coaches really doing their jobs. Question: if we as alumni/fans post an encouraging note of these players social media, are we violating any recruiting rules?

Listening to sports talk in ATL this morning. They said Stetson’s name and I was expecting the sentence to finish with Burlsworth Trophy winner. Nope. Mentioned him as a finalist for the Heisman. No mention of Burlsworth. Karma?

This team is scary. Throws a lot. But has good runners too. D will be tested. We had two common opponents in West Ky and Army. But we faced 7 (!) bowl teams this season and won all but one. The boys can do this. Go TROY!

Nice thing about being ranked this late in the year is getting coverage for next year. Nice to see some three stars back on the list of incoming players.
From ESPN: 24. Troy Trojans
2022 record: 11-2
Key player losses: QB Jarret Doege, RB DK Billingsley, WR RaJae' Johnson, LB Carlton Martial, S Craig Slocum, Jr, S T.J. Harris
Key 2023 recruits: CB Jack Tchienchou (three stars), OG Adrian Griffin (three stars), QB J.D. Sherrod (three stars), OG Tyler Bell (three stars)
Can Troy replace depth on the defensive line?
Troy, newly minted Sun Belt champions, will be coming off the fourth double-digit winning season in its history and first since 2018. Junior Gunnar Watson and Doege both saw time under center this season and Watson (2,705 passing yards, 13 TDs, 10 interceptions) should be back to take full control of the offense. Troy averaged 121.6 yards on the ground, placing it ninth in the Sun Belt. Sophomore Kimani Vidal (1,059 rushing yards, nine TDs) is their most experienced running back returning as they'll try to infuse a little more life into their rushing attack. The Trojans' defense was quite stingy (17.5 PPG). Two of their top three tackles were safeties and will be lost to graduation. Can Jon Sumrall find a way to stabilize the back end? Its fortunes of a repeat of 2022's success could depend on it.

From USA Today: Coastal Carolina ends Troy's win streak There isn't likely to be much chaos this weekend, but there is one flimsy favorite in the championship games. That team is Troy, which has had a tremendous season under first-year coach Jon Sumrall. Troy comes into the Sun Belt championship tilt on a nine-game winning streak and earned home-field advantage, but the Trojans' schedule did not feature either Coastal Carolina or James Madison, who were the two best teams in the opposite division. Coastal was an absolute flop in its final regular season game, losing 47-7 to James Madison. Coastal hasn't been the same team since quarterback Grayson McCall's foot injury in early November, but it's hard to know what to make of that effort -- whether it was just a fluke or perhaps a bit of a reaction to coach Jamey Chadwell being rumored in the coaching carousel. Whatever the case, there's still a chance McCall returns for this game and the bet here is that Coastal's championship pedigree comes through with a conference title on the line. -- Dan Wolken

Knowing nothing different, I'd assume Troy gets ticket revenue (minus costs) and whatever local sales revenue generated. SBC would get TV/Media revenue and by agreement Conference teams split the pot at year end?? I stand corrected by Troy Staffer at next higher salary than cornhole. The answer is $Zero. "Championship Game belongs to SBC Conference. All revenue, ie sponsorships, ticket and parking revenue belongs to SBC. NO local ticket promotions either; all runs through the SBC". That seems counterproductive. Does SBC also pay for police, clean up crew, paramedics, etc?

Ap top 25 No Troy. #26 with 80 votes A slap in the damn face! UCF has no business in top 25 and they even moved up 3 spots after their what should have been loss to 1-12 USF. ESPN set up a nice Top 25 match up for the AAC Championship. Sucks for us.

I keep thinking about the last 3 years, and how shitty was (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of) that a rookie HC can come in and win 10+ games in year one. (Thatâs not a hit at Jon, obviously heâs a good coach) and CL couldnât even get bowl eligible. havenât looked at the roster closely but HCJS is also having this season with players from the previous admin. Shows Coach is getting so much more out of those young men.
