I know it makes a difference in boxing and baseball, but how about football? Does Harris being a lefty cause any special concern? Other than being a lefty, he is mobile, and accurate. This guy might be better than Grayson.

This team is scary. Throws a lot. But has good runners too. D will be tested. We had two common opponents in West Ky and Army. But we faced 7 (!) bowl teams this season and won all but one. The boys can do this. Go TROY!

This guy might be better than Grayson. Not to the defense other than maybe alternating your best rusher to the other side. Makes more of a difference to the receivers as the ball has a opposite spin

This guy might be better than Grayson. I’m showing my age here. Kenny Stabler, who played for the Raiders (and Bammer) was a lefty. I remember hearing his receivers talk about how big an adjustment learning to catch his passes was. Since the ball spins in the opposite direction coming off a lefty as opposed to a righty, the ball tends to spin out of the receiver’s hands until they adjust. I never heard a defensive player say it mattered.

Who knew!" Yep, that is why the play D more than O and why they have never said anything. Perhaps!

The good news is we have some recent experience against good QBs and O-lines. 😀

Frank Harris tweeted out that he'd make an announcement "this week". UTSA sans Frank Harris is a different beast entirely. Even if he does play, this shows some hesitation. Hesitation makes a player much less effective.

It may interesting to see who/ how many Srs sit this one out…. Both teams, I don’t see any where any seniors from Troy sitting out. Besides preparing for the draft I wouldn’t see a reason. Think this team is dialed in and together.

I'd be surprised to see any of ours sit out. Maybe Ra'Jae? Bowl games are so often about motivation. I trust Jon to keep our guys motivated to get a win and let us spend all off season as a top 20 team.

For a lot of players, this is a huge opportunity again to be seen on ESPN and raise their stock. Plus I would imagine there will be some NFL scouts attending this bowl in Orlando.

Far and away the most interesting player to watch with sit-out potential is Frank Harris, a player who just had his QB coach take a jet plane to Eugene.

ESPN reporting Harris is coming back. Yes. Big press conference yesterday. Blockbuster NIL deal to bring Harris back for his 7th season. You read that right. I guess our players will have to call him Dr. Harris when they help him off the ground.

I guess our players will have to call him Dr. Harris when they help him off the ground. I was at the Houston Medical Center for a couple of years and across the street was Rice University. There was a bar called Valhalla where predominately graduate students hung out. Some were in their 8-12th year being at Rice. It always struck me funny to have folks around that long. Now we have undergrads in their 7th year, perhaps he will be drafted and play in the NFL because if not he may actually be in his 12th or so year before finishing any higher degree at UTSA.

Did you study under Dr Red Duke? He was around (sort of end of his career) but to date myself, Dr DeBakey was still there. The funny thing about that was that there was a "life size statue" of him in Baylor College of Medicine hallway. It was about 6 inches taller than his size in real life.

Denton Cooley was around there at the same time. Good thing Houston Medical Center is a big place because the ego's took up about 300 acres.
