Anybody have an attendance #? Southern brought a good crowd And in spite of the score they stayed the whole game. Met some fans during our tailgate and they represented the university very well. Incredibly discipled band. I thought they brought an “old school” style of marching.

I just cancelled ESPN+ subscription. It appears I'd have to re-up to see the second major section?? Ok, now you can hold off subscribing …. Follow the chaos teams Rooting for a single team and following it through fall's travails -- wins and losses, recruiting drama, tailgate planning, quarterback battles, star freshmen, offensive coordinators who must be fired immediately!! -- can be an immersive experience. The thought of keeping up with other teams as well might seem exhausting. Every season has chaos teams, however -- teams that maybe don't win big but constantly do entertaining things, for better or worse. They tend to have high ceilings and pretty low floors, and their watchability levels are high because of it, especially when you aren't emotionally invested in their actual success. We figure out who these teams are within a few weeks of the season's start, but here's my best guess at 10 teams heavy on chaos potential in 2021: EDITOR'S PICKS Predicting this year's College Football Playoff teams, Heisman winner, breakout stars and more 1dESPN staff How chaos could reign over the 2021 college football season 6dBill Connelly Everything you need to know about all 130 FBS college football teams 20dBill Connelly Arizona State Houston Kent State Maryland Mississippi State Pitt SMU Troy UCLA Virginia Any time you're scrolling through the TV listings and find one of these teams on, click on that game just in case. You could define "chaos teams" in a different way, too: teams constantly enmeshed in close games and tight finishes. According to SP+, there are 17 teams with at least seven games projected to finish within one score (~7.5 points), three with at least eight. 9 games: Southern Miss 8 games: Ball State, Louisville 7 games: Boston College, Central Michigan, Colorado State, Iowa, LSU, Maryland, Miami (Ohio), Michigan, Ohio, SDSU, SJSU, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, West Virginia If you're a fan of Southern Miss, Ball State or Louisville, stock up on aromatherapy candles and/or your favorite kind of brown liquor. If you aren't, keep an eye out for these teams regardless because wherever they're playing, a wild finish could follow. With this in mind, here's another layer of games to follow -- games with potential for absolute nonsense in the form of either chaotic plays, wacky finishes or both. Games in bold pit two chaos teams against each other. Week 1: Louisville vs. Ole Miss Week 2: NC State at Mississippi State Week 3: Troy at Southern Miss Week 4: Toledo at Ball State Week 5: Arizona State at UCLA Week 6: Virginia at Louisville Week 7: Kent State at Western Michigan Week 8: Maryland at Minnesota Week 9: SMU at Houston Week 10: Penn State at Maryland Week 11: Arizona State at Washington Week 12: Virginia at Pitt Week 13: Cal at UCLA

Coach Smartt is a stand up guy and a true Trojan. He drove 3 hrs to Pensacola on Friday to support our alumni event and had nothing but positive things to say about the program and his love for all the Troy fans. I wish nothing but the best for him.

The first team to try something is often mocked but Is this a “one off” or the start of a trend...
From Yahoo Sports...
Michigan State announces basketball team will now be called 'MSU Spartans Presented by Rocket Mortgage'
In an age where sponsor patches are on every NBA uniform and the Nike swoosh has even hit MLB jerseys, maybe it was only a matter of time before companies started pushing for the actual names of major American sports teams.
Michigan State entered such territory on Thursday by announcing a massive expansion in its endorsement deal with Rocket Mortgage. Yes, rather than call them the Michigan State Spartans, the team will now receive the following treatment in East Lansing's Breslin Center:
Under the new five-year deal, Detroit-based Rocket Mortgage will be the presenting sponsor of the famed men's basketball team which will now be known throughout the Breslin Center as, "MSU Spartans Presented by Rocket Mortgage."
A day later, after a barrage of online mockery, Michigan State released another statement clarifying it wasn't really undergoing a name change, just a presenting sponsorship, which it says is nothing new.
This all might be a matter of semantics, as the Spartans did literally say they will be known as the "MSU Spartans Presented by Rocket Mortgage." But that's apparently not the name, just a suffix that will be attached the team everywhere in sight on its home turf. And it's all part of an effort that Michigan State says is intended to make the company "synonymous with Spartan athletics."
In case you're wondering why Michigan State is willing to go through all this, the Detroit Free Press reports the athletic department is projected to lose $75 million due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rocket Mortgage's relationship with the program comes via the co-founder of its parent company. Quicken Loans chairman Dan Gilbert, who also owns the Cleveland Cavaliers, is a graduate of Michigan State and a significant donor to the school.
It's worth noting that private businesses have made their way into the names of sports teams before. It's not too rare a practice in soccer, most notably employed by Red Bull to promote its energy drink through the teams it owns (e.g. New York Red Bulls, FC Red Bull Salzburg). Japanese and Korean baseball teams also often feature business in their names (Rakuten Golden Eagles, Kia Tigers).
In all of those cases, however, the business in question actually owns the team rather than giving them millions of dollars to slap their name onto a scoreboard and promotions. In that respect, the MSU Spartans Presented by Rocket Mortgage would be something akin to a little league team getting some help from a local business.

Looks like Pensacola and the Conference put on a good tournament. Looking forward to seeing everyone next year when the crowds are not limited and access to the beach is easier. In the first quarter Troy held App to 3 fg’s. All their other points came from fouls, some seemingly called on Troy to keep the game close

In the best arrogant tradition, they will claim a championship even though no game was played. They will probably tell us the ULaLa wears CC pajamas and it wasn’t worth CC’s time to play them anyway.

On the question - 6 I really don't know but I know we had 3 in one year, DeMarcus, the Washington player and maybe Osi or Lawrence again 6 is correct. Tynes and Osi have 2 each. Not sure about the other 2. Troy has hustled back into the game. Down by 10 after a few minutes in the second half they have taken the lead with Stampley finally finding his 3a.
