Most hospitals down our way are again on diversion. The numbers are up everywhere. However, do not expect a run as in June and July...…..still a problem. Would not be surprised if our next game is ULM. Possible perhaps to App but do not count on MTSU.

I'm surprised it took us this long to pop some positives. But the injury to a specific group made me laugh. Is that code for "we only have one functional QB and we don't want to play this game because he's out with broken ribs." 🤣

The only thing sadder than our using this as a reason for postponing a game is our publishing it in an official press release. We just became the laughing stick of ALL college football.

We aren't the first or last to have used that exact same statement. Say you have one 1 QB who is out hurt, 1 who has corona and then you have a depleted position group .

Info I read says postponed, not cancelled. ESPN Sports Center ran the announcement of our game “postponement” however they said that we have no mutually open dates available for a makeup.

Give QB3 and QB4 a shot. It’s not like you have had great results from QB1 and QB2. If it is really Covid, I hope the boys recover quickly.

I seem to recall someone predicting the cancelation of this game! I was headeD up for the first time hoping for an upset! I canât believe that last year we lost to Coastal for a number of reasons . Poor Play calling like a 50 yard field goal into the wind which probably prevented TS to not be considered for the Grosse award, poor play calling to get a first down and end the game, and the officials poor call. With all that said Coastal has used that to steam ahead and now be the team to beat in the Sunbelt. We on the other hand are riding a roller coaster ride with CL in the front seat! I wonder if (The HC we don’t speak of) saw the Coastal game as the possible nail in the coffin! Now we can beat MTSU , hopefully beat USA And ULM and he will call it a winning season. I will cheer for Troy and I want to support (The HC we don’t speak of) but something is missing! Discipline! Discipline! Discipline

Not sure what position group it is, but Sun Belt rules say you have to field a certain number to be able to play. That rule may be 3 QBs. I don't know.

Total bummer man. Then again, we were going to get shellacked anyway.
This has been an absolutely terrible football year for me. FSU is trash too. My NFL teams are trash.
I'm still glad football is on though. MAC's weeknight football is absolutely genius for getting eyes on those programs. On a cold Tuesday night I'm stoked to watched Buffalo play Akron or whatever.

Coach doesn’t care... he knows he has another year to boost up his resume, before we can tell him to get the heck out of Pike County and stay out...

Maybe I was a little hasty. I can see a scenario where Gunnar is out with a "rib injury" and two of the remaining 3 QB's are in 'Rona protocol - either positive tests or contact tracing ineligibility. I'll withdraw my "laughing stock" comment and hope there is indeed a logical reason for including the "injuries in specific position group" comment. Either way, I wish all of the players and staff impacted by this a speedy recovery. If we don't play another game this season and everyone involved recovers or remains well, it'll be a win.
I had a long time friend die from Covid and one of my best friends is currently fighting for his life, on a ventilator, after being infected. I see daily the impact this virus is having on our communities as I watch our hospital covid census increase and as I observe the effects it has on those who are infected. I'm willing to not play another game this year to avoid that in the TROY program.

Wow, yâall believing (The HC we don’t speak of) manufactured the COVID outbreak in Troy to get out of a game with CCU is like when some of yâall believed and promoted Jeremy Rowell being the Head Coach at Troy after CLB.
I love yâall for being Trojans but yâall got to quit sniffing glue, huffing paint thinner or free basing meth. Itâs gonna kill ya. (I have already accepted the lunatic theories that pop up weekly on this board as an unfortunate, although funny side affect of yâallâs heavy chemical use)

I, still for the life of me, can't figure out why people keep putting this team's misfortunes at the feet of the QBs. Almost a 65% completion rate, more than 300 yards per game. a 15-7 TD-INT ratio, 7 yards per attempt and 11 yards per catch. They're not the MOST sterling numbers in today's CFB, but they aren't numbers that should cause you to want to take open auditions at The Front Porch or call this guy in: media.giphy.com/media/MrptWgpDxWaWI/giphy.gifAddendum: I pray everyone recovers from this virus, and hopefully we'll see football again next week. I hate it because I had a feeling Coastal was in for a surprise.

I'm fairly confident this was at the o-line position. Makes the most sense and it's the least feasible vacancy to make up for.

Oh, I fully believed there were legit reasons for canceling. But with the way things have been going, and then when someone brought up a prediction of the game being cancelled earlier in the week, it's too hard not to laugh at this. It's the perfect joke setup.
