Then DT84 will be accounting supervisor......I will need big donations right before recruiting season. I wouldn't mind having him as DC He is no head coach that's for sure. He won with Cam one year. Maybe as a DC

No high school coaches. Good lord Not even Rush? smiley-laughing001 We could have a MTV Show Some people are good high school coaches and others make good college coaches and even fewer make good nfl coaches Rush would not make it as a FBS college coach.

Well there is someone who thinks Rush should be the OC. I'm not him. I think he might be ok, even though he's never called plays against a college defense. I just don't like him because I think he is a pig of a human being.

Judging by you folks' posts Troy needs to find a coach that is young, energetic, is willing to stay here forever, is a proven winner, is a dynamic play caller with a great tract record, hates rap music and long hair, mandates that players wear suits and ties, can recruit and raise money like crazy and is willing to do it for next to nothing compared to others in the profession. (And of course if he eats at Sisters on Sunday, his contract will be immediately terminated.)
That should narrow the pool down some.

I like these 2: Pruitt and Propst. Would you leave them as Coordinators or one as HC?

Yes - we have a softball team! Yes, the softball team has a better chance of making it to the WCWS than the football team ever had of playing in a BCS bowl game or in the new playoffs. The football team could go undefeated and still not make either one. I wish they would schedule all of the big boys, go take a beating, and then spend the money on softball, baseball, and basketball. All four could be on ESPN playing in the NCAA tournaments, which could give Troy some exposure! (See ULL).
My coach suggestion is Steve Spurrier, Jr.!

I'm curious as to when Rush called plays against a college defense? I'm curious as to how many of the keyboard coaches on this board have ever called a pee-wee defense, let alone FBS college. But what do I know, I'm just a 3 time NWA World Champion and the blonde haired, blue eyed son of a plumber.

The rational here is amazing. A HS coach is qualified to be a D1 OC but a succesful HC in either DII or FCS isn't qualified to be a HC??? homershake

My family is all originally from the Akron area. Tressell is a great coach, but his heart is in Youngstown and he would never leave. Even when he was at Ohio St. He did things for Youngstown and Youngstown St.

Not for anything on the field and in locker room if I remember correctly. Had to do with college players sell autograph during off season if I remember correctly. He may have not reported violations when he gained knowledge. His teams were highly disciplined on the field

He was a good man who fell victim to the pressure to win and brought in some bad characters in Clarrett and Pryor and others and then tried to protect them. Goes to show what happens when you lose control. If he would have just let the process take care of the violaters but he chose to protect them and it cost them and him. The irony is OSU now has the thug king recruiter in Myer. Look at some of the winners he brought to UF and covered up for them, namely Hernandez

Hemi, don't you know Tressel gets a free pass on withholding information from the NCAA because he has short hair and wore a tie during games. How dare you raise questions about him...

Don't forget the sweater vest! Blakeney did very good for a long time and he was a second chance guy. Tressel would be hungry and would do a great job in my humble but correct opinion. Lol
