Is it ok to not be overly excited immediately?

Good. Now let's go win The Belt and if Neal brings his team to town, give him a friendly beat down.

Is it ok to not be overly excited immediately? I think so. I wasn't all that excited about Neal when he arrived ... and he did a good job. Big issues: DC and staff, O-line coach, and strength coach.

AD is going to be 0-3 on hires. He will live off NB recruits for a year or two. If the players buy in. That’s a very pro Sumrall locker room.

Lord baby Jesus please put Sumrall on this staff. Totally agree Dedicated, I am hopeful that it’s in the works to get Jon and his family back to Troy. I guess time will tell. Go TROY!

Promise him the HC job when (The HC we don’t speak of) leaves? He won't have to wait long. ð¶

Does ANYBODY in that Athletic Department listen to anyone besides themselves? This is like a re-build hire. 10 or 11 wins next season or it's a bust.

Good grief, what a bunch of Debbie Downers. Instead of bad mouthing the guy before he’s had a chance to coach the team, how about we lighten up and give the guy a chance.

I like this. High-powered offense. Southern Miss had the #12 total offense in the nation in 2015 with him as OC. They averaged 40 points per game... something Neal Brown's offenses weren't even able to do.
USM was also:
#13 in Offensive points per game #19 in 3rd Down Conversions #20 in First Downs #12 in Passing Offense #30 in Yards per completion (which means they threw some bomb passes) #54 in Rushing Offense #16 in Pass Efficiency
Everything about his offense would've destroyed the 2018 Troy offense statistically. (The HC we don’t speak of) ran the ball for more yards, and passed for more yards.
I think his offense at Auburn needs to be overlooked. It's no secret that Gus Malzahn restricted (The HC we don’t speak of)'s playcalling, just like he did with Rhett Lashlee. Look at Tony Franklin when he was at Troy... had phenomenal offenses, then he went to Auburn, and his career took a dive because Tuberville's philosophy clashed with his. He was one of Auburn's best recruiters by a wide margin.
