Good grief, what a bunch of Debbie Downers. Instead of bad mouthing the guy before he’s had a chance to coach the team, how about we lighten up and give the guy a chance. You are right. We should not bad mouth him. I won’t do that and I did say yeah.

Other than Troy, Neal Brown had never been at any one place for more than two seasons...

If (The HC we don’t speak of) is out coach ... then he's our Coach!! Positive energy ... in and around the program ... is important! If he's our coach, he needs to be reassuring our signees ... closing some more commitments ... and attracting the best possible staff our budget can handle!! So, I'm 100% behind him ... or whoever they introduce!! Then .. we can judge results ... that's fine. But give the guy a chance.

I like this. High-powered offense. Southern Miss had the #12 total offense in the nation in 2015 with him as OC. They averaged 40 points per game... something Neal Brown's offenses weren't even able to do. USM was also: #13 in Offensive points per game #19 in 3rd Down Conversions #20 in First Downs #12 in Passing Offense #30 in Yards per completion (which means they threw some bomb passes) #54 in Rushing Offense #16 in Pass Efficiency Everything about his offense would've destroyed the 2018 Troy offense statistically. (The HC we don’t speak of) ran the ball for more yards, and passed for more yards. I think his offense at Auburn needs to be overlooked. It's no secret that Gus Malzahn restricted (The HC we don’t speak of)'s playcalling, just like he did with Rhett Lashlee. Look at Tony Franklin when he was at Troy... had phenomenal offenses, then he went to Auburn, and his career took a dive because Tuberville's philosophy clashed with his. He was one of Auburn's best recruiters by a wide margin. Auburn didn't have the personal to run Franklin's system plus lowder wanted Tubs gone.

Other than Troy, Neal Brown had never been at any one place for more than two seasons... and he would've have been there more than 2 if he'd been offered a P5 job. What if he'd had a major turn around in 2015 ... maybe winning 10-11 games and got offered ... he'd been gone. It's the profession. It's about timing and taking opportunities.

Maybe we should stop and consider that perhaps the reason he moves so much is because he is in demand for the job he does.

Will be cheering my Trojans on next year regardless who the coach is.

Other than Troy, Neal Brown had never been at any one place for more than two seasons... Not 100% accurate. He was at Troy for 4 years during his first stint here. But understand the point you were trying to make.

I believe in Jeremy McClain. (The HC we don’t speak of) must have impressed him more than anyone else. He is from Madison, Alabama. He has recruited really well. If he can assemble a staff, The Vet is going to be a fun place to watch football .............. STILL.
Don't tear down the wall people! Go Troy.

I like the hire. If we did happen to get Sumrall as DC that would be a home run!
Les Miles wanted him as his OC. Obviously (The HC we don’t speak of) knows how to run a Offense.
Like Neal Brown his most important hire by a mile will be DC.

Can he do it for more than a year because he bolts? I have very little faith in our AD on hires because his only two so far can't win. I pray he proves me wrong and I'll still support my team but I'm not even remotely excited about this guy and from what I've heard the team wanted Sumrall. Prove me wrong Suitcase (The HC we don’t speak of), we will see. Done on the rant, I'll now wait and see what he does. Prove me wrong Coach and I hope you do.

At least try, you my like it. You heard the team wanted Sumrall on this board, which we all know is as about accurate as the weather forecast 10 days out. All those kids want is to win. 4 years ago do you think those kids in the locker room wanted someone else besides Neal Brown ? Still think itâs a great day to be a Trojan? Yep.
