I'm debating bailing out. I will make my decision in the AM. Might just head up to Jonesboro and check out the game tomorrow night.

We'll hunker down and see you all in Troy November 3.

Prayers for everyone. I had the eye of Irma come right through Ocala last year as a CAT 1 in the middle of the night. Not fun at all. Be safe, this is a bad one.

It's been a while since one as hit the area hard.

They’ve shifted the projected track eastward a bit.

We live on a sailboat in Panama City but have the boat on the hard for a bottom job. Would rather have it at anchor so it doesn't go down like a house of cards in the boatyard with the hundred+ other boats. We evacted to my hometown of Donalsonville, GA, where we'll get Michael 2.0. but I'm not worried here. Take care, Trojans.

We're the praying sort and will have all of Troy nation in Michael's path covered in prayer. NC and SC are still reeling from Florence with roads still closed down east. We usually have it easy in the mountains as far as hurricanes and tornadoes are concerned. Y'all are always welcome here.

Stay safe everyone. The latest update from the National Hurricane Center has max sustained winds at 125 mph. It’s forecasted to make landfall as a Category 4 with winds of 130 mph. The pressure continues to drop. Www.nhc.noaa.gov is a great resource if you’re in the path.

If anyone here is on the coast in the Destin to Big Bend region and you made the decision to ride out this Cat 1 to Cat 2 storm, leave NOW. Just get in your vehicle and drive north until you find a place you can stay. This bad boy is now a Cat 4 storm and may intensify to a Cat 5 before landfall later today. The best time to leave has passed, but you still have an brief time to run. Hunker down and stay safe TROJANS, we'll see you in a couple of weeks.

I read yesterday they are having evacuations in Geneva County(Slocomb, Hartford, Geneva) for anyway one in mobile homes. Also they're saying this could still be hurricane strength to or pass Albany, Ga(Satellite Campus).

They stayed but only because they are 11 miles inland and they have a construction company and they have several houses going up they have to check on. My old room mate evacuated Wewa and they are staying with their daughter in Troy. Everyone stay safe, this one is the storm of a lifetime and extremely dangerous

I almost hesitate to type this because as soon as I do we will find out somebody on here lost everything...or a relative did... or some sort. Any way, I’m gonna take a chance and provide an update.
For the most part, Dothan and regions west faired ok...except for those on the coast. There is an abundance of trees down, some of those on houses. There are almost 25,000 in Dothan alone without power, another 17,000 or so with Witegrass Electric. That said, I’ve heard of no deaths or serious injuries as a result of the storm. We pretty much dodged a bullet in Dothan.
The same can’t be said for points east of here. Donalsonville, GA, roughly 40 miles east of Dothan recorded a gust of 116 MPh, while the peak gust here was 60 something MPH. The folks in SW GA got hammered.
I haven’t included regions south of here and along the coast. It’s not that I am discounting them but everybody knows by now how devasting the storm was there. I’m thankful tonight for the blessing of God’s protection and I’m praying for those who have been devasted today. Stay safe TROJANS and if you can assist those in need because of this storm, please do.

There have been some injuries in Alabama. Hope everyone recovers!

Marianna hit with Cat 4 winds sustained . No one could have ever predicted that. I am safe in Troy but my office sustained damage our hospital has had to transfer patients due to damage and most homes with tree damage. It will be a long road to recovery. Most of Jackson county has been devastated. Thank you to all who help with donations m, time and prayers. A particular shout out of praise to my friend Cornhole for his gracious gift of his home in Troy Tony elderly mother in law and aunt along with my wife and Myself. I will be headed to Marianna tomorrow with batteries and water and gas. I hope to get there. Many many people from all over this country are loving their neighbors. No greater act is required than that. Thank you and may our Heavenly Father be with you all.

Marianna and SW GA got hammered, pictures don’t fully relect the extent of damage. There was a death in GA, Donalsonville I believe. Safe travels, Buzz, praying you sustained minimal to no damage.

I heard that Bay Hospital in PC suffered severe damage and they have to evacuate the entire hospital. If this is true I can't imagine how/where these poor patients will go to. I haven't seen a hospital in ages that had available beds and there are road closures everywhere especially I-10 from Crestview to Tally.. Anyone heard about this. I can't reach my best friend in Lynn Haven as they have no cell service.

Yes, they did. I do not know where the patients went. I have a friend with family in Lynn Haven. The family thankfully evacuated, but they do not know the status of their house, and they cannot reach friends who stayed there either.
