Just curious but even going back to the NAIA days have we ever had an 11 win season? After the year we've had I think it's not unrealistic for TROY to aim for 11 wins, conference championship, and become the best Group of 5 team so we can play in one of the New Year's Bowls.

After the Liberty game (and I was very very distracted by Michael clean up. I even forgot we were playing) Many thought the sky was falling. Well that is where a pilot who's plane is going down makes their money. Pull that sucker out of a nose dive and get you to where you want to be.
At that moment many were saying that 10 wins was impossible. Well we made it. Everyone did there job almost as well as they or anyone else could have imagined. The coaches and players lost a little altitude and righted the ship. Sure we lost to APP and that was one terrible quarter then some pretty good play short staffed. Even that game with short staff (Willis and others) we lost to a really good team.
We can beat a dead horse all we want. Next year looks pretty good but that is just potential. Potential gives rise to hope for a great season led by a really really really good coaching staff for Troy.
I hope EVERYONE and I mean everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year. Because while I don't see eye to eye always its all good and everyone will be happy if we go 14-0 next year and that is going to be tough with Georgia Southern, App St, Missouri, Ark St, ULL and everyone we play including the likelihood to go 14-0 having to beat the best West team twice! All of that is a tall order and it will take us having some luck as in few injuries etc. However, if we only crank out say 10-13 or goodness gracious less than that I will still go to the games and I will still cheer like heck like I did during the last few years of CLB. I may not like it always but I know this much, there are a good many guys coming back who know how to win and like winning. We will have coaches who are the same. That!!!!! combined with talent and a favorable schedule makes the POTENTIAL very promising and makes me smile just a tad more over the holidays wishing August of 2019 were already here!!! Merry Christmas!!

If you include post season, yes, last year. If you don’t include post season, yes, undefeated regular season in ‘95, only to lose to GA Southern in first round. Just 2 that come to mind.

I guess you couldn’t read between the lines. Is there a special sidewalk alumni association? I am impressed though you could have been a Bama fan, you seem the type. Hemi guy is not an alumni. He can’t have that distinction.

Ah, good to know. This brings up another question: Why couldn't we get over the hump back in the FCS days? We made it to the playoffs but I think the semi-finals were as far as we could get. A multitude of reasons. One, we were only in FCS (1 AA, still can’t stop calling it that) a few years, 10 or less. Two, upper level FCS teams are REALLY good. Topping that list is tough. Using us as an example, we were a top tier 1AA, winning the Southland and making the playoffs multiple times including the semis. In our first year of transition, we went to Starkville and beat MS State. Winning that division isn’t easy.

Here are the losses I see: Boise State Nebraska ULM Ga State South Bammer Ulala GATA Appy
So I have 8 losses.
Moronic post of the year. We just won a bowl game, everyone feels good and Hemi comes on the board and disparages and attempts tobrings down Troy alumni and supporter. Why. Let’s move on people. Look forward to the possibility of next year !

He can’t have that distinction. Neither is Cornhole. He and Hemi have done a TREMENDOUS amount of work on behalf of the Trojan Warriors and just the Universities athletics. They may not be alumni but they do belong to the alumni association. People who go out of their way to contribute to the well being of a group or institution should always be welcome. Perhaps the three of us do not have papers saying our allegiance ought to be with Troy but they are none the less. I probably am a traitor to The University of Texas since one of my diplomas is from that institution but my allegiance as to athletics is at Troy. So I can only hope to be a sidewalk alumni member half as good as those two are being. This probably has nothing to do with the argument but then again neither does the logic of many of this boards arguments or disagreements.

I have a personal respect for folks that love my university without having a degree from it. It just means that they fell in love with its charm and its potential, without it being their "school" they have adopted it, which in my some cases is a greater love, because they don't "have" to. Kinda like a step dad/ step mom kinda love.

Beat Iowa before when the Hawkeyes were in the top 25 I believe. I don't see why they don't move up to FBS. Only issue would be finding a conference. Maybe Mountain West.

Very simple...they dont need to. #1 they compete and win National Championships every year #2 Fargo Dome only holds 19,000 #3 Geographically they are better suited for FCS with natural rivals in Montana, Montana St. Idaho, Idaho St and Noth Dakota #4 they can still get a money game every year

It’s more fun supporting a smaller school and experiencing the whole process of history and program building than being just another fan among millions of bandwagon fans. I only attended Troy for one year and then transferred and graduated from another university which doesn’t have a fb program. So it’s natural for me to support Troy even though I am only 25 percent alumn. Also looking into graduate schools now (mostly major state schools) but my money will always go to Troy. Troy needs financial support and again it’s more fun supporting smaller schools which is more rewarding and actually can make a small difference, while bigger schools have all these major donors anyways...

When did being an Alumnus of Troy become a requirement for being a fan??? Do you think all these " Roll Tide-Cold Beer". fans actually attended Bama? I have more respect for a fan like Hemi then 90% of the people I went to Troy with who only show support for Bama, The cow college, The swamp lizards, the casino college and Thug U.

Being an alumnus isn’t a requirement at all. And there are some that have never attended Troy who are much bigger supporters that those who did.

Hemi guy is not an alumni. He can’t have that distinction. Small time thinking leads to small time programs. Agree. And that’s why I will say it again, that is why you should not have disparaged and attacked fellow supporters and an alumni with your post. We need to be all together. Sure we can disagree and that’s healthy. But instead of calling him moronic it would have been better to reply to his post in a “building together” manner. Replying stating that this season was as an example was why we shouldn’t give up after one game and we should always attempt to stay positive and keep supporting. Build up, dont tear down.
