I think Troy is down. Barker is not as good as Silvers. D might not be as good as last year. I think Brown will right the ship at the end of the season and we wind up in some bowl. I would prefer Tuscon AZ to Detroit if it comes down to it.

We'll end up in Montgomery before either of those two bowls. We'll sell it out by ourselves and the Camellia bowl knows it. They've been licking their chops over Troy since the first year they've had it.

You can't compare Barker's first game as a starter (vs Boise) vs a four year vet in Brandon Silvers, unless you completely forget Brandon's first games as a starter. We'll know a lot more when we play ULM in game four.

I don't want to go to Montgomery for a bowl game. That's just another home game for us.

Team that showed up Sat isn't winning 7 games. A lot of changes have to happen. Hoping they right the ship

I'm a little worried about the Liberty game up there. Beat up on a decent Old Dominion squad. If we don't blow out FAMU, I'll start to have concerns.

Wow, this really comes off like a "sky is falling" type of post. Where in the world do you see five losses on this schedule?

I was serving in the Navy in Japan when we had Carl Meadows as our QB. Tried to keep up with football, but internet underway on ships is very sketchy and sometimes shutdown for operational security

We went 6-6 in 2013 and everyone was talking bowl games for 2014. UAB blows us out first game and we went 3-9 Let's don't get to confident yet. This season can turn around for sure but Sat showed some serious weaknesses we have. We need a good performance Sat. Yes, it FAM Who but especially qb and rb need a confidence boost. If we can't get a passing game longer than 4 yd dumps and bubble screens it could be a long, long, long year. They need to come out mad at the world Friday and show some fire. Troy was FLAT right out of the tunnel Sat. Other than Hunter Reese everyone looked lethargic. First step to recovery is practices this week and turn up the fight Sat. Go Troy

Neal Brown and his staff are too good to go 3-9, We are missing some pieces. Not sure if Barker is the answer at QB. Maybe Sawyer is the better passer. Even Alabama had a bad patch. I have faith Brown keeps us competitive as long as he is here. Confident we go bowling, that is the standard at to be met at Troy IMO.

I'm good at what I do for a living. I'd hate to know that a group of people showed up at my job Tuesday, watched me perform for 4 hours, and then declared that I was terrible, that my IV technique needs work, that my ability to reassure a patient who is scared and in pain is ineffective. I don't want anybody who is not intimately involved in what I do for a living to pick it apart. Now, I don't get paid to evaluate football talent or the performance of a football team....at any level....so there's that. That said, just as I don't want a random crowd picking apart my performance based on what they think they saw in 4 hours, I'm not going to spend any time time picking apart what I saw Saturday night. Can we improve? Sure, but If the man TROY University is paying millions to manage, evaluate performance, evaluate personnel, and direct the school's football program says we're going to be OK, then until It's proven we aren't, I'm going to go with "we're going to be OK". It was 4 hours, it wasn't a season.

We absolutely can be ok. 11 games still to play. As far as wondering about the qb situation. Barker can still come around or Smith. Both have a lot of talent. But if you remember 2008 we had to go to a 3rd string qb who transferred from Richmond. That turned out pretty well if you remember. Season isn't over yet. Lot of work to do but in theory we can finish 11-1 if everything falls in line. I'm hoping this was the wake up call. Go Troy

QB #1 goes 17-33 for 139 yards with no touchdowns and one interception.
QB #2 goes 20-29 for 211 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
One is Brandon Silvers against Boise State in 2017. The other is Kaleb Barker against Boise State in 2018. Care to guess which one is which?

Saturday's game was so bad, ESPN made a typo on the highlight video on the scores page. I'm not going to watch it and it needs to be flagged for violent content, but the "Turnover Thrown" mistake was slightly amusing.
