The University provides a free shuttle to take you from this location to the game and back. The shuttle does run a route, so it will be a 15-20 minute ride if you have to make the entire loop, but it's really convenient. Thanks Bubba, if I may call you Bubba. This sounds like the best option. That will give my wife and sister-in-law more time to shop without us. On a side bar, it would probably be cheaper to rent a car than let the 2 of them go shopping alone. Anyway again, we appreciate all the info and are so looking forward to our game day with all the Troy fans. Have a great day and be safe. There’s a nice discount outlet about 16 miles west on 231 toward Montgomery.

Good afternoon everyone! I'm a BSU fan and will be flying to Georgia to pick up my son at his base and then drive over and spend Friday and Saturday in Troy. Looking forward to visiting the sites and watching a great game! I have seen some mentions of the shuttle. We are staying at the EconoLodge (I hope it isn't a sh*thole) and am wondering if the shuttle stops by that neck of the woods to pick people up and if so, what time do they start picking people up? My son and I (plus a couple more) want to start tailgating early and meet some people. We went to Lafayette when BSU played there and it was a blast. Love the Southern Hospitality and meeting new football fans. Also, what time does the shuttle stop? Is where we are staying too far to walk? And how is the area? Is it sketchy or pretty cool? Thank you for all of your assistance. I am taking notes on the places to eat!

I have a reserved space pass that I won't be using this season. If you are interested, shoot me a DM.

Below you will find a link to Game Day shuttle info. This link is from last season, the game day site hasn't been updated yet, but it should be accurate info. The only thing that isn't accurate is the game day route download. That downloads the routes and stops for the student shuttle service that runs 7 days/week. While the EconoLodge isn't specified as a stop, the info does indicate that the shuttle stops at all local hotels. As to the location of your hotel, you'll be OK, it's located along Hiway 231 and the area isn't at all sketchy. I will agree with The Dream though, in that if you want to visit with folks and enjoy the atmosphere, you'll want to arrive on campus before the shuttle begins running. If you can't get with The Dream and secure his pass, parking is cheap. For $10, you can park within a block of the stadium and be right in the heart of the action. A large # of tailgates will be along University (both sides of the street, which will be blocked to vehicular traffic) and along Wallace Dr (the stadium sits in the intersection of University and Wallace. Stop by and visit any of us (I personally will be on the lawn at 1st Presbyterian Church). We look forward to your visit and... Cry HAVOC!!

I will for sure stop by and say "hi" to you all! I sure hope that I don't have to be leaving with my tail between my legs but rather leave with a big smile on my face. Should be a good game and I know the Trojans will be bringing it! Is there a certain tailgate food that the Trojan fans like to prepare? Lafayette they were big into boudin which I never had before but love!
