That would be fine with me since I live and work in Montgomery. My office is four blocks from Cramton Bowl. Underdog Dynasty has us in Montgomery vs Miami Redhawks...

On the MAC's Board site they all feel Toledo will be headed to a different bowl and likely Ohio in Dollar General Hope Ohio brings more than the 200 they brought to NO in 2010 They did not bring very many to Montgomery last year either. App St was 75% of the crowd, Alabamians 22% and Ohio 3%, by my expert estimation!

Underdog Dynasty has us in Montgomery vs Miami Redhawks... Thats an insult. They are a 6-6 MAC team against a potential 10-2 Troy team...Screw that.

Underdog Dynasty has us in Montgomery vs Miami Redhawks... Terrible. Montgomery is not a reward for these players. They deserve better. A win against GASO and rewarded with the lowest tier bowl game in Montgomery is an insult to a 10-2 Troy team. If Troy admin is pushing Montgomery, then shame on them. I would like to hear their justification to the players on Montgomery versus a New Orleans, Mobile, Charlotte, Orlando

Guys, I have to believe that if we have more than our allotment of Sun Belt teams to qualify, then the Commish and the Conference would want Troy (assuming we go 10-2 and become Co-Champs in the Belt) to go to the highest pay-out bowl game possible, since everyone shares in the revenue. We have to pull for ULL and USA to win to ensure any consideration of Troy going outside the Bowls dedicated to the Sun Belt.
Go TROY!

There is a side of me that's pulling for Toledo to upset WMU... what a matchup that would be. Bowls would be fighting to have Troy vs WMU. Typically I pull for the WMUs of the world and I kinda want to see them beat and SEC school in the cotton bowl. I'm torn!!

I have not seen Birmingham mentioned. Any chance we get a shot at a SEC team in that bowl?

I thought FAU drew less in N.O. When they had their one and done season. I was shocked with the Ohio crowd. Pathetic. I doubt they would bring 200 to Montgomery.

One of the ESPN guys has us in NO vs South. Miss! That would be fun! I remember when we lost to them in overtime in the bowl ... great atmosphere! That was my first Troy bowl ... amazing. of course, tough ending ... but great bowl game!

Sure Mr. Ho prefer hang in French Bar 75 and drink cool refreshing alcohol all weekend but Montgomery give EVERY SINGLE TMTDM fan an opportunity to celebrate this magic season. It forces all local TV and newspapers to cover TMTDM in depth. It also give a large chuck of recruit to maybe attend game in person. It also a chance for every player entire family to attend game as well. Crampton Bowl would be over-flowing with Cardinal and Black and that build on next season when we get invite to Sugar Bowl. Then we really ound cool refreshing alcohol at French Bar 75. It not bad though pounding Central Tenennnsssee into oblivion and taking the Palladium back home. Street fights would be epic too.

Make SWLa travel more than fifty feet to a bowl game and let's see how well they travel.

Just saw the USM beat writer saying Southern miss will be headed to the Nola bowl....Which likely means we won't be due to rematch.
Nola probably praying ULL eligible for crowd numbers (tho their home attendance average is less than ours they usually do even better at bowls)

Isn't there a pecking order for the bowls? In other words, the Sun Belt champ to New Orleans, second place to Mobile, third place to Montgomery and fourth place to Orlando? Then if five or more teams are eligible, that's when other slots open up, such as Arizona for a team such as Idaho?
I went to the Camellia Bowl last year in Montgomery between App State and Ohio. Huge crowd. App State brought a massive amount of fans and I was impressed with Ohio's contingent also.

New Orleans gets 1st pick BUT they do NOT have to take the league champ as long as the Champ has a place to go. Mobile gets 2nd Montgomery gets 3rd Orlando gets 4th Arizona gets 5th

According to AD, the way the process works is that bowls get to pick who they want regardless of record of placing in conference. So for Asian Belt Bew Orleans get first choice of teams and if ULaLa is eligible that's who they will take to sell tickets. Mobile gets second choice followed by Montgomery, Orlando and Arizona. So regardless of our record we don't really get to pick where we go.
