HAHA - good shot. Still, facts are facts and thankfully that pic is really out of Tennessee.

Not sure this is appropriate. It's a logo for an old pro wrestling stable Bullet Club is still going strong. Figured if we're going to invade Hattiesburg might as well take inspiration from the best.

Stay Home for this one, your team is plum worn out from saturday's game. You will not have the strength or the heart to win. you will give up midway through the 3rd quarter. Hey LOUD MOUTH. Let's talk some smack! Other than y'all being the dirtiest team I've seen play in years, what happened to all that "beat the crap out of y'all" junk? Now crawl back into that hole you came from! The good news for Troy: Neal Brown is a very good coach. Many wanted him when Monken was hired. You will win many games until someone flashes the millions of $$$ in front of him and he's gone. It's part of life at "our" levels. Best of luck until that happens.
The bad news for Troy: Y'all came out strong and emotional. We gave you the freaking game in just about every way imaginable and still almost won. So that means either we're really damn good (we're not) or y'all aren't so dang good either. We'll know the answers to both of those as the season goes on. Any way around it, I'd still rather watch USM or Troy play than the high-paid $ec teams with their boring, stuck up, espn enabled garbage any day!
Until next year...and yah, a short drive I'll be making for sure. It looked like there were about 300-400 Troy folks in the stands for the rain event that eventually cleared out. I was expecting a couple thousand. We will bring a couple thousand next year unless we go to total chit this year with our new staff.
And who's officiating crew was that??? The worst I've seen in years. I saw offensive pass interference (by us) not called and a non event called as pass interference against us. That line judge was hell bent on getting a lineman downfield call no matter what. I actually thought that both teams played a relatively clean game except for our receiver who pulled some stupid crap (personal fouls) twice. We had not been flagged so many times since the Ellis Johnson days. Is Troy usually called that much? Both teams had insane penalty yardage by the end of the third. Who knew how bizarre the 4th would get with those guys...the most Ref huddles ever in a game!!

I think most of us were surprised by the amount the team racked up that night.

By that logic Troy gave you a pick 6 for the first score, why didn't you take that and make it a blow out? Troy forced USM into some mistakes. Just the same as USM forced Troy into some. Both teams played in the same weather. Both teams had ample opportunities to take control of the game. It was an entertaining game with lots of mistakes and lots of big plays. Looking forward to the next game in 2019. Sun Belt officials. They are somewhat horrible.

So when the Trojan offense exploits the USM 9th rated defense and the Trojans 39th ranked offense bests the 18th ranked offense, USM hands us something? How about the Trojan run game gutting the USM 20th ranked run defense? Guess USM handed that to us as well.

Who knew how bizarre the 4th would get with those guys...the most Ref huddles ever in a game!! Seriously? The only thing worse than getting your bragging butts handed to you is not accepting the efforts of the winning team but to make excuses. I don't know what game you watched but the one I watched saw us GIVE you a TD to begin with. Given your idea of USM superiority you express that should have been the start of a blowout but...oops.... someone forgot to tell the Troy guys to play dead. Had your players spent more time concentrating on the game and less time waving to fans, high fiving fans in the stand, taunting the Troy team you might have had a better chance to win. It's called having CLASS!The officiating was ever present because both teams played sloppy at times making dumb mistakes. The most ignored violations were the 5-6 instances of un sportsmanlike conduct not called on USM. On 4 occasions I witnessed one of your players hitting a guy blocking them and on one tackle out of bounds your player looked at the ball carrier laying on the ground and stepped on him intentionally. As a former coach I detest UC calls but that was one I would have been ok with the runner putting him on his butt. Just a suggestion, you have a very talented team but you really hadn't played anyone of quality so accept the loss and hope for better days ahead. It's a great matchup to continue!

Apparently you boys weren't there to see our "NFL caliber" (LOL) QB throwing INTs like crazy. Y'all dropped two other sure INTs as well. I'm not saying anything negative about Troy...I'm pissed that our 4th year starter at QB is staring down receivers and throwing picks at an alarming rate this year. He looks great until he has to go thru his progressions, then he looks like shite. The week before, we played probably the worst team in college football and he was staring down receivers then too. Even threw a pick to them on a damn swing pass.
As for your O line full of badazzes, they crammed the ball down our undersized D line quite well. 9th rated, 18th rated...against f'n who? We beat UK and Savannah State for crying out loud. I thought we were evenly matched against Troy. Some of you boys don't see logic when it's right there in front of you. Y'all came to play and we pissed our pants, that's all. No need to take it as a slam. Besides, we can both go 11-1 from here on out and we'll see each other in the NOLA bowl anyway because we're "not on the same level" as all the $ec trash out there that pays big money to all their 4/5 star recruits.
As for penalties, neither team is that bad. That crew was terrible. I lost at least 15 mins of my life watching those idiots huddled up to discuss false starts, delay of game, etc. They huddled more than the teams did! Pathetic...
And I'm always amused when someone else from the South calls us "backwooders". Dip$hit, I live on the Coast, we don't have any woods. Hahahaha
