I'm switching my tickets to the home side and I know of a number of others that will be doing the same.
I know a pair of our most passionate fans said they will never be back, I hope and I pray that they change their minds, because they will be severely missed by the Trojan family.

Agreed. Simple fix. Easy fix. See you in 2 weeks then mister fix it. I will be there with my family. Will be tailgating with at least 50 of my fellow alumni, it's Homecoming!

We can't upset the frat rats or them might get mad and not come to the games and leave at half time to go drink some more and watch Bama and Auburn. What a pathetic joke. Let's run off long time fans so we don't upset the frats.

First, it is a shame that their time was ruined. But not sure I understand the abandoning of the ship mentality. Wasn't this the first time it happened to them ? Sounds like the Administration failed, report and let try to fix it. Troy has given me more than I have ever taken from it. It would take something 1,000 times more than some punk kids taking over my seats for one game for me to abandon Troy forever. But that's just me.

My understanding was it was reported and nothing was done till it was out of hand. Then the police did nothing but give lip service to some drunk punks. Listen to what people witnessed....drunk frats in the bathroom at Hawkins with their pants down around their ankles, beer being pored on people, the F bomb in front of little kids, smoking in a smoke free campus and blowing smoke towards their kids, the university does nothing to police these zoo frats and/or other punk students. I don't blame them for not wanting to subject themselves or their kids to that trash. Epic failure on Troy and it will cost them. Good luck getting frat rats to donate or buy season tickets. School made their decision Sat night. It's been coming and nothing was done then either

The answer to your question, why universities cater to the students and Greeks, they are the future donors and fans. Greeks by far support university activities and athletics more than the general student population. Yes, we get you hate the Greeks, clouding your judgement. They also said it was Greek and non Greeks, where is your barking at them? Doesn't fit your agenda huh? Again, it would take a hell of a lot that more a few kids to get me to run away. Stand up and fight back, Of course that just how I was raised.

The improvements to game day will continue to get better but growing pains do exist. To depict a pandemic of debauchery based on the actions of some is an inaccurate presentation.I assure Troy understands where the rubber meets the road and will take action. Our AD is from Southern Miss and should be very well versed in dealing with similar issues X 4.

This type behavior is nothing new, over twenty years ago: I witnessed over my time whiskey bottles thrown from the student section onto the area where the visiting teams bench is, including once against App State when someone threw a huge empty liquor bottle that hit a player in the back. Numerous arguments between students and opposing teams players, arguments between students and fans in the section next to them including pushing and shoving and yes even the F bomb. I remember once a guy with small kids sitting in the next section telling students to sit down and students yelling and telling the guy to F off. Some of these incidents involved fraternities some did not. Students are students regardless if they are in a fraternity or not, to act like it is simply a fraternity problem is naive at best. It is more a case of college kids, alcohol, testosterone, excitement and the invincibility of youth. I am not trying to excuse this rude and awful behavior, far from it but please be aware that this isn't the first time this has happened it is just the first time it has happened to you.

Yesterday my friends and I tailgated in our usual space between Hawkins and Smith Hall under the oaks. I had a friend who is an alumni of South Alabama, and a friend who is an alumni of Alabama also there with us. Like most everyone else, we used Hawkins Hall for restrooms. Since the fraternities and sororities were tailgating on the Shack quad, they also used Hawkins Hall. I was absolutely ashamed of our students on the Shack quad yesterday. There were young ladies walking around in skirts that were so short that you could literally see their underwear and butt cheeks. It was inappropriate. At one point my friends from other universities went to the restroom to find a drunk fraternity guy standing at the urinal with his pants and underwear around his ankles using the restroom. He could barely stand as he stood there. Finally, as we walked down university, so many Fraternity guys looked at my friend from South Alabama and were screaming "F*** South!" Completely unprovoked. Let's not forget that there were children everywhere. While I understand that we need our students there supporting, and I want them there, I would rather they not be there than be there and act like they did yesterday. And I refuse to accept the excuse that "that's what students do." As an alumni of Troy, I want our students to win with class and lose with class. I will be moving my tailgates in the future far away from the Shack quad. Otherwise, I may find myself in jail one day.

I added punks along with frats. Their needs to be a come to Jesus meeting with the student section. Their behavior is a reflection on the school

And as I was right across from those guys I would guess that is who was seen in Hawkins as well as I saw very few Fraternity members (that I could tell) walking past us to Hawkins. It was mostly that group that was yelling at opposing fans, cursing, and yelling "roll tide". Don't just assume because it was a drunk @@@hole that it was a Fraternity member.

Campus police needs to monitor this because intoxicated students don't need to be let in the game or allowed to act like that while on university property

I agree with you as well. Although it is a fine line between letting college kids have fun and support and policing them to the point they no longer want to tailgate and come to games. I am somewhat surprised at the lack of police presence other than blocking roads. But I have never really seen much police presence in tailgate areas at any other colleges either. Coming to Troy games since the 90's that group was probably the worst I've seen. I'm good with a few adult beverages and friendly back and forth with opposing fans but they went a little far with it.

This is why I just buy GA season tickets for my family and I. I wouldn't let a bunch of inappropriate students ruin my love and support of Troy and keep my family and I from doing something we love to do...Attend Troy football games.

My business is not allowing to do every game this year but I did the GA 4 pack and sat in the end zone. Best seats in the house IMO. It was like watching the game from a end zone camera. Fans were friendly and polite. Only thing I didn't like was losing my seats at band day but a small price to pay to expose Troy to future students

My family and I are usually sitting in the 1st row or 2 of the upper deck on about the 25 yard line...awesome seats and We've never experienced any inappropriate behavior sitting there...the students are directly below us but were really not paying much attention to them.

The baseball team probably hates south more than any group at Troy. Especially after what went down last year. I did see Logan pierce over there too

Kids in general lack of respect, this includes, frats, independ, band members, etc. There are bad ones who mess it up for everyone. just like ADULTS in my section at times that I just have to ignore. But if I don't like it enough, I will just move my tickets.
However some things listed that if really happened needs to be investigated. Not sure underage drinking is the first one though, as when I was there, you would have not many athlete, cheerleaders, band members, etc.
