Looks like pleather and plastic... Not sure I like the idea but if it pumps up the players I am ok with it. We will be a laughing stock with this I am pretty sure.

I still think this can be taken as a bit pretentious by others teams in the Sunbelt. But oh well. We just need to remember that South is one on a long list of teams in the Sunbelt that we must prove ourselves to again. We must play with a (The HC we don’t speak of) on our shoulder.

As an outsider, can't say I'm a fan of the "wrastlin' belt" trophy. But it is what it is. And it'll eventually grow on everyone. But my question is, after 8 wins by one team what are they going to do? Retire that belt and produce another? Add on another section to inscribe more wins?

Call it what you will, but this belt has garnered more attention to this game than anything in recent history.
CBS Sports, Alabama News Network, ESPN Radio, NBC Sports, Yahoo Sports are all covering it.
Aaron Suttles, Alabama Sportswriter football for The Tuscaloosa News and TideSports.com just "Tweeted" out to his nearly 16K followers and the college football community hosted on reddit with over 34K followers did the same.
I have friends in Ohio and Texas that have sent me text messages about it saying the heard it on the radio.
Like it or not, it's good for the program.

All you keyboard geniuses were given the opportunity to name this rivalry - inquiries were made to both schools and the SGA of the schools got together and this is what they came up with - Can you guys just support it? It's not my favorite but it's better than nothing and quite frankly, I think it's pretty good
As a matter of fact - I think it will be great to see a touchdown late to seal the deal by a Trojan and he pulls the Aaron Rodgers belt impersonation in the end zone for our fans and those tuned in via T.V. to see and a 15 yard penalty to go with it
This program has not had much to cheer about for 3 years and it's time to have some fun so let the kids have
that is all

I'd like to see who'd volunteer to go into NB's dog house...After Burks spiked the ball in the GSU game, NB was the 1st person he met coming off the field.

Did you read any of the comments on that article?
Here's an example:
"Dude, that thing screams copenhagen, rednecks, and trailers. Hard to believe any institute of higher education would come up with that."

There's no such thing as bad publicity as long as they spell your name correctly.
