I think the new NCAA nutrition rules will also play a part in the Endzone Facility design process.Weights/Food Service/Training could probably all be in an updated Tine Davis with lots of Glass and all the trimmings. This could possibly equate to less floor space needed for the endzone facility.Say 3 floors instead of 4 and have a family area terrace on top of third floor. In reallity, you would have probably more useable space and create specialty space for certain fans or "wow" design feature and save about 6 million in the process. That would also allow for jumbotron directly above facility and centered in North Endzone
I would think our AD/Chancellor are looking at all options and the "scaled down" version would actually be an upgrade vs a huge one stop shop for players/coaches only that has less functionality for the program as a whole...

If this is accurate, why not take the $6 million excess (or savings or leftover from original design, etc) and build an adjacent indoor practice facility? CHHS has one..

Some of them certainly could and would because they would conform if they wanted to play for them. Again, Troy has to reform the way they recruit today's youth and not worry about how power 5 teams of yesteryear did it... I will agree with the change the way they recruit. Brown is on the right track by building through the high school's first and foremost and the areas he mentioned they would recruit is spot on. I can't remember if he said Texas though? That state is a QB hotbed. I think we should be recruiting there if we aren't already.
