Not to say they are not more waiting in the wings, but I see three players that will step up in the near future that will help lead this team going forward for years to come and they are:
Garrett Peak # 92 So John Johnson # 2 Fr Seth Calloway # 94 Fr
Please add to the list due to more the merrier (We need good leadership on and off the field)

“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.” Quote from: Maya Angelou These are the times that try men's souls so continue to work hard and we will continue to root for our Troy Trojans." Good luck against the Bulldogs and we will see you on the field"

What I heard last night is what we had in the past and not what we need to be doing to fix the problem in the near future.I have about 200 employees that work for me and if I looked at problems the way thay are looking at problems I would not have a job come next week. One thing I do have a problem with is coaches telling players behind close doors, if you do not win this ball game for me, I and my family will be with out a job. You can not and you will not get players to respond to on the field play with this type of commits. These young men have all types of pressures each and every day and now they are making commits like this and wanting to hold them accountable for their jobs. Is this some lesson in life I missed?
My venting is over so "Go Troy Go"

Ball State Head Coach Pete Lembo would be one that I would look at. He just signed a new contract but I would still give it a shoot. Great coach with a great record

I do not beleive the last scrimmage was designed to build confidence in just the QB's due to the defensive starts were not on the field all the time. They were trying to build depth in each area so by letting them receive more reps they could see where they fell out 2-4 on the depth chart. As you can see things changed after that scrimmage/practice due to players moving up and down on the chart. That may change again before game time with Duke this week.

They are working out four days a week with weights and doing a lot of cardio. They are also working out on the field three days a week and also doing a lot of cardio after each self practice. The team will be in better shape this year than they have been in year's past. The biggest thing is we have leadership, teamwork and theybavk to talking about winning a championship.

When Coach LB decides to give it up and If I had any say in it (Which I will not!!), I do believe I would give Pete Lembo at Ball State a call to see what he thinks about coming to Troy Alabama. Right now he is getting paid $ 450,00.00 a year and his career record is not that bad. Career Record: 104 W - 49 L with a winning % of .680 Record With Ball State: 25 W - 13 L with a winning % .658 in the past 4 years In 2013 his record was 10-3
I have no pull, so I am just saying

The article seems to be on target in some areas but off in others. I would wait to see what happens after the fall camp, due to there maybe a surprise or two on who start where. "Its T Time"

No there is no Octagon this year. From what I have been told, the past two years there has been no accountability from other players so they would only make summer workouts when they wanted to. Two players stated they only went to two field workouts the whole summer due to no accountability.

The 2014 Troy Trojans should look a lot better this coming up season due to the accountability they are being held to by their on teammates. From what I am hearing if you miss your workout (weights) you will have to make it up and then go to the hill and run it while your teammates look on. The player themselves without the help of any coaching are conducting workouts (on the field) , defense against the offense and the offense against the defense for three days each week. If for any reason anyone miss this workout they will have to make it up also and run the hill. Sound like a mixture of some of the older players with some of the newer players have stepped up and taken on a leadership roles and not only hold themselves accountability, but their teammates also. The LB we lost due to grades was Zack Moore a 2013 recruit that would have been a red shirt freshmen in 2014

Who was the LB we lost to grades? Hoping it isn't who I fear. Well, if it is updated on the 2014 roster, the only player not their is one that I don't remember hearing a whole lot about. Lebbie, Lewis, and Roland are all still on the roster as of right now.

We have lost three players due to grade eligibility, two were CB and one was a LB. I feel they are replacing the one LB with the JUCO player Mr. Jordan Anderson
