One post has him at Arizona Western the other at Butler?? Also was this a scholarship that just opened up or being a late juco signee did he just graduate and gain eligibility to transfer? Like his size and 40 time, should be able to help.

We have lost three players due to grade eligibility, two were CB and one was a LB. I feel they are replacing the one LB with the JUCO player Mr. Jordan Anderson

JUCO (2013) Arizona Western CC - Jordan Anderson - OLB
Tackles - 64 Tackles For Loss - 11 Sacks - 1 Pass Break Ups - 4 Fumble Recoveries - 1
Seems like a decent player to me. Judging by most of what I've found on the internet, he will be a sophmore. It looks as though he played last season at Arizona Western and was going to play football at Butler CC until he got the call from Troy. He (should) have no ties to the three Butler DBs we signed. Though it would have been nice to have four players from Butler who helped keep their opponents at 11.2 points per game. He will have 4 years to play 3. Looks like a good player that may not see the field until 2015 or later. We are pretty deep at LB as it is.

The LB we lost due to grades was Zack Moore a 2013 recruit that would have been a red shirt freshmen in 2014

Jeremy Spikner (NIC) is the only one I'm upset about. Larry thought pretty high of him coming out of spring ball. Chris Davis (CB) like a few others have said really wasn't that good. He was beat by Jaquez Young (West Alabama Transfer) on the depth chart coming out of spring as well. You can't perform like last year and expect to start. Moore probably wouldn't have seen much playing time anyway. I'm just waiting for Keion Payne (former 4-Star from Miami) to live up to his potential and beat out Ethan Davis for the starting spot. Also looking forward to JUCO transfer CB Tajarvis Fuller, who was a big time recruit coming out of high school. The potential for improved CB play is there.
Does anyone know if Tajarvis Fuller has been recruited to play corner, nickel, or safety in our system? He played safety and linebacker in high school and corner at JUCO. I'd like to see him at corner.

Good news. Thanks for the research. Transfer freshman and sopohmore's at Troy usually don't make a big impact right away (Gosha, Lebbie, etc). I'd love to see him be a bear woods right away. I just felt like his best days may be later down the road. Would love to see him tear it up this year though. Welcome aboard, Captain Anderson.

I have been impressed with Roland. He just seems to find the ball and has good instincts. I think he is going to be really good and looking forward to what a healthy Lebbie can do. Like 05 stated I look for improved DB play..but realistically it couldn't get worse lol. They looked 110% better in coverage in the spring and LB play was 100% better also. I didn't see the busted coverages, receivers running wide open and long untouched RB runs. I truly believe we will be much, much better this year.

I'm one of the least negative people I know when it comes to Troy Football. I've been called a sunshine pumper, etc. I agree with everything you've said except for one thing. What happens in spring ball from our perspective means very little. The last three or four years, we have looked like an NFL team during spring ball, fall ball, and practices. I've always come out saying how much better we are going to be. The truth is, our players know our receivers routes and what their tendencies are like clockwork. They know our offensive playbook inside and out. It's easy to cover your teammates, but quite another thing to do it against a team you don't see everyday in practice. They have looked great so far, like every year, but I've believe it when I see it. Cautiously optimistic. Roland and Lewis looked very good in the UAB replay I have on my computer. I'd let everyone have it if I knew how to upload 3 GB of video to the internet.

My point on the D in spring was at least this was the first one in the last 3 where receivers weren't wide open with nobody there and running backs breaking free untouched for 30 plus yard runs. Game day will tell but I am optimistic and I haven't been in the last 2 seasons. If our d can just play better than they have we are going to be pretty good. If we can just not have to play thinking we have to score over 40 to win will be a huge boost. Here is to 2014..and may we be in the Big Easy in December...or at least Montgomery or Mobile. Go Troy!!!

Go Troy!!! You also have to factor in the loss of players ans those sitting out during that time. Coach Pogue has stated that the players here are talented, they just need to work on technique and locating the ball in the air. I'm not so sure that spring ball "NFL" isn't an oversimplification when talking success, or the lack thereof, during the season. Getting turnovers and taking them have been big issues at the most inconvenient times during the last few seasons. Not a lot of those in the spring games...
