Noticed Damion Willis is taking advantage of some WR injuries... saw he was working with the 1s today in camp! Impressive for a free agent!

They're dropping some teasers on Twitter ... at least 4 new commits in last 4 days! It looks like one is Chase Little, a 3* OT from Montgomery. Any word on the others? Doc, I was just about to post this same message. Seen a lot of "booms", but no news... I know ... right. Suspense is getting me! The only new one I noticed was Chase Little ... good looking, Tall OT from Montgomery. I guess we have to wait until the players want to post? I was down for my son's graduation Friday ... they had good number of kids in for camp. Hopefully we'll see some news coming out soon. Go Trojans!!

If BJ stays healthy and we can save a year of eligibility for Charles, it could be a good thing. Also ... from what I've heard from CL and folks who watched him play over the years here in Gadsden ... the Woods kid is likely one that can come in and contribute as a Freshman RB. And Billingsley and Frye are change ups. We for sure need to keep BJ healthy and fresh. I think we had to lean on him too much last year ... he go beat up a bit at the end.

These guys can surely recruit. I'll mention again ... the 2 big name defensive players that left ... from reliable sources, Nothing to do with new coaching staff. #8, personal reasons. #2, he was already gone before Brown left. I understand (The HC we don’t speak of) was open to giving him a chance to do what was needed to stay ... but he left. Don't know about Murray. And, of course, Barker was grades. I think the best sign of what kind of staff we have ... we kept every single member of the class that Brown signed. They could've gone elsewhere since Brown left ... but they all stuck with Troy and Coach Lindsay! I believe we have exciting times ahead! How dare you bring to this board a glass that's half full rather than half empty. Don't you know the rules? Yeah, my bad. I knew I shouldn't have started drinking so early!

If Kaleb picks up where he left off they wont know what hit em. New system, new receivers, new OC. Without Sawyer as a backup, there's no guarantee (The HC we don’t speak of) will let Kaleb run wild like Matt Moore did. His ability to run was a huge part of his success. I'm sure he'll run ... that's big part of the offense. Even if just to keep the defense honest ... of course when Kaleb pulls and runs, it's usually a big play. I'd hate to be a backside end/LB responsible for him!! Brown had the "run" package for Sawyer ... he was big and not slow. Not sure if Watson can run? He is a good size kid. Oh ... and I expect Matt Moore called about as many plays as Ryan Pugh will this season!

The big time running back we got a commit from earlier was touted as an "elite running back" by some P5 writers. This guy, Von Hill, is being regarded as a "mega recruit". I don't like what's happening to our defense, but it appears (The HC we don’t speak of) has the ability to get some big time players to play for us. It's likely the guys choosing to leave just don't jive with (The HC we don’t speak of) / Brandon like they did Neal / Vic. These guys can surely recruit. Quick count of the roster (though I'm not great at "higher math") ... we have 104 showing. Looks like all of out 2019 class is in the fold! Also, a few names I haven't seen/heard. DT Malik Pertee (Ocala), Corner Tye Puncey (Pinson Valley), and what looks like a grad transfer from Southern Miss ... WR Reid Rials? Don't remember hearing their names. As far as state of program, I have the preseason optimism! Won't be able to lean on Defense as much as we did last 3 years, at least not at first. Very talented defense ... but young in places. If they can continue to turn teams over ... then I believe we could have our best Offense in years! So, we might have to outscore folks some! Not good for the heart ... but could be exciting. We will be good enough to win every game. But, we might drop a couple on the road ... if we lose turnover battle. 10 wins at least! Go Trojans Malik had some decent FBS offers: Toledo, Ohio, Georgia Southern, Bowling Green, Georgia State, and South Alabama. Might not be a star guy, but he's an FBS caliber player most likely. n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2019/malik-pertee-191677#school-interestsLooks like Reid was an all state quarterback for Satsuma. Dual threat guy. Does not appear he registered any stats for Southern Miss. He may be a holder for us. Yeah, Pertee's film looks really good. Quick, low center of gravity ... and he caught a TD pass!! Again ... some promising young talent on the D-line!

Also, looking at the roster ... we have some promising young talent on the D-line: Choloh, Pierce, Samuel, Barkley, Reaves, Mathis. All Fr/Soph.

I'd actually heard in the spring that we might be bringing in another Juco DT this summer? Anyway ... Barker is obviously a good player ... don't know his motivation for wanting to go, but wish him the best. Not sure if he graduated ... but he redshirted for us ... so he'd have to have a waiver or go to FCS to play???

Theodore Jackson's rating doesn't make much sense to me. He's got offers from 3 or 4 other reputable G5 programs... Yeah, would think it would be higher ... maybe he hasn't really been evaluated yet?

Impressive RB just committed. Also looks like there have been few maybe "diamonds in the rough". I like the combination of the highly touted ... and the ones that aren't as highly touted, but maybe maybe impressed at camp (they tend to be very hungry and have been very good for us!) 247sports.com/Player/Kimani-Vidal-46053672/Checked out his video ... looks very impressive against tough 7A GA talent!! Cool commitment vid on twitter ... and it says he'll be an early enrollee. This is a very impressive get! Beat some big name P5 Schools. Keep it up coaches ... and Go Troy!!

Yes a second team preseason (Athlon) safety leaving is a little concerning. It does seem like we are losing a bigger share on that side with what would now be three D starters. Hopefully trend stops. I am sure that there is more to the story but makes you go ...Huh?..... Not sure of Murray's situation ... but again, from reliable sources, the other two transferring had Zero to do with coaching change! One for sure, and likely both, were gone if Brown stayed.
