Yet Troy led 14-3 early in the second quarter before Duke scored 21 unanswered points to lead 24-14 at the half. Troy remained within striking range the rest of the way – trailing by two touchdowns entering the fourth quarter before Duke added a field goal to make it a 17-point game. Though Troy never made a run in the final period, the Trojans did continue to play hard on both sides of the football until the final whistle blew. Troy wants to – and expects – to win when it lines up on the football field. Any team should. There is no satisfaction in just playing in a competitive manner. But despite the loss against Duke, the more than 21,000 fans that were in attendance at Veterans Memorial Stadium and all of those who follow the program should feel a bit better about things this morning. m.dothaneagle.com/sports/troy/jon-johnson-column-sound-the-alarm-troy-shows-fight/article_e4468ae4-363f-11e4-8caa-001a4bcf6878.html?mode=jqmI think I'll have a beer.

I think the fact that our D held Duke to only 10 points in a sign of major improvement. I still think that changing QBs threw the entire offense into a spiral they never pulled out of, which left the D on the field a lot.

"Feel better about things this morning"? Obviously, this man not spend an evening with Mr. Ho.

Wow, this article might just lead the powers that be to give LB an extension and pay raise. (Sarcasm). Seriously, the football program is the lowest it's been in a very long time.

LB himself said sometime around 2006 that Troy was no longer satisfied with moral victories. Right now, I'd be satisfied with a moral tie.

Ho, me, a song girl and a few bottles of fine brown water. We would solve all of Troy football's issues...or at least forget what they were.
