Parker commenting on taking time off this weekend, he said that everyone deserves some time off, collect some thoughts so can take steps to “hopefully” improving. Not going to improve. But hopeful the team improves. The last answer on fight mode is a joke. It is emphatic of Parker and the current state of our program. It’s passive and cautious, as Parker stated. He keeps talking about intent. This program is a limp noodle right now and it starts with him. I’d bet he doesn’t make it and we will suffer for it. We’re going to work tirelessly to fix this by taking some time off!

He’s trying to say all the right things, but just isn’t translating to the field! It reminds me of Lieutenant Dyke from band of Brothers! I’m tired of listening to a broken record! Winning cures all!

He's not a HC... period. 0-10 against FBS and one struggle win against a mediocre HBCU FCS team. Nothing is going to change. Good assistant but he's not a HC

How are we at quarterback? I think all 3 are capable, just with different strengths. Just wondering how they're doing. I’ve been scanning the sideline since we came out of the locker room and I don’t see Crowder at all. Kilkrease limped off at the end of the first possession, it doesn’t appear he was healthy when the game started. Long night ahead, I’m afraid. Goose is out for a significant period of time.

Its all good. We got us a coach from a school that plays on NBC. This!! Didn't matter if he was only there one season. Hawkins wanted to say we hired a coach from Notre Dame. Meanwhile JMU hired a proven winning HC from the College of Holy Cross, put 70 points on NC, are undefeated and would beat us by at least 30 points When both jmu coach and Parker were hired I laughed at the jmu hire. Like who actually knew Holy Cross played football. Going with a proven winner at a lower level or other FBS schools aren’t always a guarantee either.

I wish we could fix our schedules in the future. Week 6 and we have burned 4 home games in the hot weather. Back load home games in October and November. Conference headquarters made a mess of our schedule this year.

Kilkrease limped off at the end of the first possession, it doesn’t appear he was healthy when the game started. Long night ahead, I’m afraid. Goose is out for a significant period of time. I suspect as much. I’m going to assume, that because he left the ULM game on a cart holding his head in his hands and with his head covered by a towel, he was concussed. Given that he had just missed a game and a half with a concussion and that he wasn’t even on the sideline (at least I couldn’t find him), he’s deep in the protocol. If a week later, treatment still requires isolation from noise and light, there’s still a long way to go before it’s OK to return to action. Repeated concussions, especially this close together, are not good. I’m making assumptions here, but they are based on what I saw and on my knowledge and experience. If I’m wrong about the type injury, and I hope I am, then someone PLEASE correct me. Ion related note, I recently read a book cowritten by Ryan McGee and Dale Earnhardt Jr entitled Racing to the Finish. The book could loosely be described as biographical, it is more about Jr’s struggles with repeated concussions - the symptoms, the treatments, and the long term effects. It was very informative and I recommends it to anyone who wants to learn more about the issue.

Conference headquarters made a mess of our schedule this year. Brent should know that the conference will give us our 4 home games. We have 2 non conference games at the beginning of the season. Separate those out a bit and have a conference game earlier in the year. Those are usually scheduled years in advance so set a date up our annual FCS opponent for October or November for homecoming.

Got to work this morning and there was already a discussion about our game by my coworkers. One coworker who played DT for K-State under Coach Snyder said "That didn't look like Troy football. Your linemen have muffin tops." My other coworker who went to Miss State said: "Can we play you guys cause we could probably win that one." Consensus from the group who occasionally get a glimpse of Troy due to working with me and our 2 championship games is that they don't know what they watched last night but it wasn't Troy.

The P5 teams do it every year leading up to their big rivalry games thanksgiving weekend. It can’t be too hard. I’m not sayin that late in the season but if you want to do it it can be done.

Coach Parker is making Troy Trojan football history this year folks. If you see me at the games with a bag over my head, mind your business! 😂 I love y’all. This too shall pass!

I don’t think South is as good as Texas State. Then there is the Tuesday aspect. I will not be able to attend. While on the road Instill expect a fairly good Troy showing in respect to visiting Sunbelt teams. So, perhaps with 12 days to rest and get healthier and plan being on the road will help. When the players see a crowd like Thursday nite and later in the game they ARE AFFECTED! Affirmation is important and crowd size and staying reflects that. South will Probably not get as many as a Saturday and typically when on the road we as a visiting bunch will stick around.
Crazy to say but I expect we beat them. Maybe by Ark St Conner will be back and again and again I stress what a difference that makes.

We survived the 2011 and 2014 seasons. We're just going to have to get through this season too. We also survived the '97 season when we had a WR starting at QB. This isn't the first struggle TROY has endured.
