This is exactly why we will never be respected like JMU or App. JMU was in the same situation as us. Do you see the difference. They don’t make bad hires and they don’t make excuses. 110% correct. JMU gets proven winners not 🤡 that went 0-6 as interim HC

I’m really pissed off right now. I have never seen a Troy team quit. The players didn’t quit but that bum Parker quit. I’ll take Fester all day over this guy.

We have been set back years by the Hawkins on the hill. How the 2 good post Larry hires got past them is beyond me.

I'm not a huge donor, but I give a little here and there. I gave a few bucks and told Gary to put it towards replacing Fester. I'm not giving a dime to replace this dude. Janice can back fill the lake and take that money to get rid of this guy. We don't need any more Janice designed parks, we need a winning football team for the survival of the school and town.

I am so disappointed, When NB was here and we went to Clemson he said we are outmanned at every position and if we want to win we have to out coach and out execute ! Now we are playing TxSt and we are outmanned and cannot even come up with a game plan for any success ! I don’t care how bare the cubbard is, it is no excuse for lack of execution, lack of conditioning, and a lack of a decent game plan ! Parker is making a lot of money to learn and he’s not learning! We are getting worse! We have 12 days to prepare which means, Strength and conditioning overhaul, new playbook! Offensive line coach fired , and teach the defense to tackle!

I know Caleb Carbine is a Troy guy... and I love that about him.
But Carbine has GOT TO GO. This O-Line is absolutely terrible... literally the worst I've ever seen in my decades of being a Troy fan.
Terrible coaching. Terrible technique. Terrible situational awareness.
And before anyone tries to tell me "they're young and inexperienced"... the O-line two-deep (including TE) is made up of 3 seniors, 5 juniors, 3 sophomores, 1 freshman. That's not young. That's a typical O-Line. This isn't a bunch of freshmen.
We have an experienced center that can't snap the ball properly. We have an experienced senior guard that has major issues with holding penalties.
Cole Popovich in 2022 had a similar O-Line. And he made it good enough to win an SBC title.
Caleb Carbine can't stay.

City of Troy will survive with/without Troy football. Plenty of other good things developing here. And so will Troy U, with a balanced approach to academics, including curriculum development, competitive compensation, athletics and relevent degree programs. jeez, you actually think a G5 football program drives the vitality and economy of City of Troy?? cornhole as big a fan as you, but never lose the big picture of a well-managed and fine community City of Troy, Al. We live in Troy, you don't. Get over your hysteria?

The University will become one of many south central new hampshire governors degree mill until that closes. Every new industry from Lockheed to Kimber is here because of the University. Troy exists because of football. I’d say if Parker is kept through his contract, you will see the effects in enrollment and in the town.

Coaches come and go, Troy remains a relevant and vibrant community. Hey Birther, I feel your pain but let's not slop over about Troy Football. If Troy U can offer degree programs that lead to career success at competitive prices, build it and they will come. Ask yourself. Why would a legacy Coach like a Saban or "Lame Kiffin" place their career on Troy Football?

After watching this, it is starting to be a broken record ! If you had a great week of preparation and were in fight mode how did they come out not ready to play? He says it’s on him so he should be held accountable ! Same old same old for 2024 Injuries, penalties and turnovers. Second half no adjustments killing us!

Why would a legacy Coach like a Saban or "Lame Kiffin" place their career on Troy Football? Why would you build a straw-man mentioning blue (The HC we don’t speak of) coaches? You are the one reaching. There is no reason why Troy cannot do as our conference competitors have done by hiring winners from FCS etc. I suppose Troy likes to gamble and was lucky with Blakeney, Brown, and Sumrall, but also unlucky with Fester and Parker. The problem with the gambling methodology is we sign dumb long term contracts. As for the school without football, you do realize this is the south and even more importantly Alabama. Without football, Troy would be like Livingston or jax state. Nobody wants to go to those schools. I work on a very large Air Force base and I think there are probably a dozen Trojans that I see. I see zero jax state, zero Livingston, zero UAB. Name recognition is everything for our school located where it is located. I know you are old enough to remember the campus back when it was a suitcase school. Thursday night at the porch was the night because everyone left on Friday to go elsewhere and not attend the football games. This season we had to expand the student sections and that is because of back to back championships. Letâs see how it looks next season. You may not believe it, but if Troy football goes, then enrollment will go and well after that, discussions start happening regarding cost cutting and relocating to Dothan. I was on campus when those discussions happened. Blakeney stopped it.

It was interesting that HCGP mentioned the attendance toward the end of the game in his press conference.
He's beginning to feel the heat, as he should.
Being 1-5 right now is completely unacceptable, regardless of youth on the roster. Troy had enough experience and talent to remain competitive, and even the SBC coaches thought so by picking Troy to be 2nd in the West.
It's clear as day that this team is being poorly coached and that there is a lack of energy. You can see it and feel it every week.

Parker commenting on taking time off this weekend, he said that everyone deserves some time off, collect some thoughts so can take steps to “hopefully” improving. Not going to improve. But hopeful the team improves.
The last answer on fight mode is a joke. It is emphatic of Parker and the current state of our program. It’s passive and cautious, as Parker stated. He keeps talking about intent. This program is a limp noodle right now and it starts with him. I’d bet he doesn’t make it and we will suffer for it.

We got us a coach from a school that plays on NBC. This!! Didn't matter if he was only there one season. Hawkins wanted to say we hired a coach from Notre Dame. Meanwhile JMU hired a proven winning HC from the College of Holy Cross, put 70 points on NC, are undefeated and would beat us by at least 30 points

I saw some highlights and listen to barry majority of game, and here is my professional unprofessional $0.02: 1. Penalties have killed us from the get go. Need to clean them up and need to have some kind of punishment for PFs 2. Turnovers are to high.. again some kind of ball security punishment (run 100s with balls in both hands saying "I love my balls") 3. OL play is just atrocious, technique is bad, snaps are worse (yes i know injuries) but still, seems hardly any indy time for simple fixes 4. no juice at all. we looked deader than a cemetery last night. it has got to mean something from the top down
thats all for now
