Round one of Troy’s two fall camp scrimmages went to the defense last week, so heading into Saturday’s second scrimmage, it will be the offense and special teams playing “catch-up.” “Being a little more consistent than we were last week, a little bit better on our third-down conversions,” Trojans offensive coordinator Kenny Edenfield said of his unit’s goals for the 10 a.m. session. “We had a couple of third down–and-mediums where it was a ‘bam-bam’ play, (and) the defense did a really nice job of making that (last week). “We’d like to make those plays and keep drives alive.” The Trojans’ offense entered fall camp with a four-way quarterback battle that has trimmed itself to three players – Brandon Silvers, Dontreal Pruitt and Dallas Tidwell. Troy coaches have said little separates the three, so all of them have been earning first- and second-team snaps. That rotation may have contributed to the offense’s inconsistency in places Edenfield said after last week’s scrimmage. The battle between the three continues, though, it is “starting to solidify itself,” the offensive coordinator added. Edenfield hopes a leader emerges on Saturday. “If not, we’ve still got two weeks,” he said. “I feel like we’re heading in the right direction.” Full Article: www.dothaneagle.com/sports/troy/troy-s-offense-special-teams-aim-for-better-second-scrimmage/article_44d11426-24c8-11e4-8d38-001a4bcf6878.html

I believe Silvers is our guy. He looked very confident and made some very good decisions. Pruitt looked nervous. Worthy at WR-X is going to have a big year, IMO. The O-line and Chunn looked sharp today.
