TROY, Ala. – The Troy football team strapped on full pads for the first time of fall camp in a three-hour workout in the Monday morning heat on the practice fields behind Veterans Memorial Stadium. "First day in full gear and we had some full speed tackling and contact work," head coach Larry Blakeney said. "It looked good but when we watch the film we'll probably find some things both good and bad. I still think that we have a bunch of good kids and the new group is really trying to press on and do the right things. If we can keep working together, and the older guys can continue to exert themselves in leadership roles, I think we have a chance of being a pretty good football team." www.al.com/troy/index.ssf/2014/08/full_pads_heat_welcome_troy_fo.html#incart_river
