If the same offense of the first two weeks shows up, I think it will be a very difficult game. We only had two possessions of more than 3 minutes vs KSU who had 5 of over 3 minutes. In the Second half we didn’t have any drivers over two and a half minutes. It makes it very difficult for our defense to make it late into a game. We weren’t out of the game until close to halfway through the 4th when the defense wore down.
So if the offense can make the changes they need to, whether in play or personnel, we should have firm control of the game. If not then it will probably a heartbreaker for us.

I would like to see some creativity on offense. There hasn't been a whole lot of it through these first two games.
Those run-up-the-middle 4th down plays against Kansas State could've been... better. Troy sold out on the run, and Kansas State completely loaded the box.
A sweep play would've been more interesting.

I audibles exactly 4 times and only four times all four were big plays because the ones that were called were ELRONGO for the defense they showed at the line. So based on my 100000””””000% correct play calling in my life in high school (they moved me in college because I was not that good of QB) I should be able to call plays on this here keyboard. But alas I am a tad rusty and 4 plays isn’t exactly a plethora of offensive genius. But this blind squirrel (hence the success of the audibles) says I will leave the calls to Craddock and company. We will be ok. Thus says the offensive guru who has alter ego aardvark. |

I wasn’t going to bring this up, but was Deyunkrea supposed to block this man? He bumped him and ran towards the sideline. Goose almost got killed.    I was not happy with his blocking all day long. He would get beat and just stand there shaking his head. Hopefully he don’t beat him self up over one bad game and his teammate lift him up. Ik he’s got the talent or else HCJS wouldn’t put him out there. |

If victory equals joy and elation and defeat brings agony and angst, then the handling of those two emotions is all that matters. This sort of equates to a boat and its rudder. To far to one side turn that sucker all the way to the other side. Then when careening the other way, turn that sucker back the other way. Then when careening the first way again, turn that sucker back the other way again. No, make adjustments that are smaller first and see if your original course was really that far off. By the way I am not a sailor or boatsman (boatsperson for the politically correct) so excuse the improper use if any of the rudder metaphor.
