How was this not caught? How did no one say a word??
There were 7 seconds left, and ODU was up by one point.
ODU proceeded to inbound the ball with SIX PLAYERS ON THE COURT. As soon as the ball was inbounded, their sixth player slid right off the court and back to the bench... and ODU scored to make it a three-point lead. HOW DID NO ONE SEE IT?
I actually wondering if it was intentional because of how it happened so fast and fluid.
IF SOMEONE WOULD HAVE CAUGHT IT OR SAID SOMETHING........... then a technical foul would've been called... and ODU's points would've been taken off the board and it would just be a one-point game. Troy would shoot free throws, AND also get possession. Troy would've most likely won.
We lost this one before it started. Two technical free throws pregame, evidently some one did not get the memo on uniform color??
We lost this one with same inconsistent play of recent games. Three totally outplayed quarters, down by 12, sorry , not convinced one call ends a season.
Have to agree. This team started unraveling at end of year. Started out the game by not turning in the roster and they were down 18 at one point. Did the 6 players make a difference? Maybe but JMU was up one and if they inbound the ball they either run out the clock or get fouled so who knows
This one goes down with the bad calls that I remember in Football against Clemson , Duke, Miss St, LSU and a few more but with that said you have to play better to not let the officials determine the outcome of the game!
Just wondering if anyone has checked the ODU boards to see if they are acknowledging the missed call. Anyone can go the the ESPN site and listen to the announcers make the call.
I just don't think it matters if their fans acknowledge it or not. It's not the fans fault. There are some Troy fans being a little silly about all of this.
It was the three referees fault for not doing what they were supposed to be doing. Not ODU's fan's fault. We as Troy fans don't need their acknowledgement to feel better.
At the end of the day, the referees were told by the Sun Belt Conference that they would no longer be given any more assignments at the tournament, which was probably a pretty big hit for them personally and financially. They probably learned a lesson to count how many players on the court from now on.
Yes, ODU's coach may not have been the classiest about it... but why are we going after their fans to apologize about it?
It's time to move on. Some of you like Jon Sumrall's quote "So what, now what"... so why aren't you applying that toward this situation?
If anything, maybe this will create an intense rivalry for Troy WBB. Maybe ODU comes to Trojan Arena next year and we can have a record crowd.

I agree maybe if they come that would be a game where there could be an organic display of disdain. Something like everyone taking one shoe off to show (for most of us) that there are only 5 toes and that could be waved to their bench as a reminder that this is the number you actually get to play in a game. Yes a joke but a poster or two of a foot with 5 toes could be a constant reminder of the same.
