ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has Troy in the NCAA tourney as a 14 seed at the moment. It could happen for sure, but we will have to start winning our games against the top teams in the Belt.

I just don't see it happening. Not because we don't have a good team, but our depth is severely lacking.
Spud Eugene is out. Duke Miles is out. Lydell Geffrard is out.
All the rest aren't quite ready to give significant minutes in D1 games.

All the rest aren't quite ready to give significant minutes in D1 games. What happened to Spud?? I believe he had an important family matter to tend to. He should be back this week hopefully.
Geffrard and Miles are out the the season with injuries. So we can't afford to lose any depth.

What about Tshimanga? I haven’t seen all of the games but I’ve seen several and I haven’t seen him since he entered the concussion protocol after the Arkansas game?

And quite honestly, the Sun Belt has become a better basketball league. The margin of error is thin in a rising (and balanced!) league.
As gritty as Scott Cross is, I'm not counting out his squads too often, though.

Who anticipated a 20 win season last year, plus getting a First Round BYE into the SBC Tourney as a #4 seed, plus an invitation to the CBI postseason tourney?
Who anticipated a win over Florida State this year and currently being tied for 1st place in the SBC? Plus the fact that we're 12-7 overall.
I'll take these results ANY DAY, especially with how the last 15 years of basketball looked under Maestri and Cunningham.  |

It's not "like" anything, Maestri hated recruiting during his final years at Troy. |
