Man, he is getting HAMMERED on their board. And honestly I can't disagree. I'm watching the WVU/TT game and they do look pathetic. I hate it for him because I do believe he's a great coach but sometimes you just don't click in a place and he doesn't seem to be clicking.

It’s my opinion that it is not Neal, but rather UWV. It’s hard to get 5* players to go there. Plus, the commies ran off Vic Koening. Neal and Vic are the winning combination.

Being Neal home as Co OC or something. Assistant HC. He could take over after Sumrall gets a calling.

With a $20 mill buyout, then only $16 mill after December 1, Neal can study his options for a few months.

Neal will land as an OC at a Power 5 school making upwards of a million a year. He will be fine.

He didn't set the world on fire offensively at West Virginia and he really didn't at Troy either because VK won us a lot of games with our defense I get tired of this take that the offenses weren't good with Neal Brown as head coach. This is based on the rough end to the 2018 regular season when Troy had one healthy WR left and maybe one healthy RB. Once everyone was healthy, Troy dropped 42 on Buffalo in the Dollar General Bowl. Points per game under Neal were 27.9, 33.7, 31.5 and 30.7. The last three years are no slouch by any stretch of the imagination. In a press conference one time, Neal admitted that he called plays like a head coach, not an offensive coordinator. I interpreted that to me he throttled in the interest of player health and keeping the defense refreshed. Certainly Troy won some games with VK's defense, but there were plenty of times Troy hung more than 30 on opponents.

Yes, our offense under him was better than the offense this season but VK helped him in several games especially LSU and Nebraska. He probably would get a OC job, don't think it will be a upper level P5 and he might get hired by a G5 as a HC. MAC would be a fit with his KY connections and that area is MAC recruiting area. We will see. He is still the HC of WVU and for the record I really like the guy

If spuat gets the death penalty from the ncaa, which they have come close, they will just fire up the backup team. They would even play in Tuscaloser

Wasn't Matt Moore the co-oc at Troy and run game coordinator? Seems like that would have been a more logical choice

It's pretty obvious that Neal Brown has to have at least an 8-win season with some big wins this coming season... or else he's going to be out at WVU.
WVU has a new AD from North Texas with no ties to Neal Brown, and I believe one reason he kept Neal Brown around was because there wasn't going to be enough time to thoroughly do a search & hire of a coach that their fan base was going to be happy about. It was too risky to fire Neal Brown in his first year being AD.
If Brown finally wants that break-out season, this is the season to do it. WVU's schedule will be the easiest it has been in a while... they get all three of the new AAC additions, and they don't have to play Texas, Kansas State, or Iowa State.

Baylor is hard to tell. He has zero margin for error and NB is famous for one let down a game a season no matter what
