Seems odd to me that at our highest point of achievement attendance declined. Recession. Highly doubtful. Seems like more of a complacent fan base that grew tired of "just" winning the Sun Belt. They expected Troy to achieve higher goals without those fans that quit showing up, putting any money or time into the program. They will show up for Miss St, Duke, and Navy, but they don't show up for TROY! I think I'll have a beer.

Most everything recreationally affiliated had seen decreases in attendance. Many families simply reach a point where they say, " where can I cut"? It's a reality. Fortunately many keep supporting Troy as a priority because of our ties to the university but some fans don't have those ties, i.e. those much needed casual fans, so they find it much easier to pick game cost as something they can live without. Sad but true! ? Maybe next November we can change the direction of the country and economy and hopefully things will get better!

The figures with the 20,000 plus attendance years all had a big game at home. 2003 Marshall 23,000 +, 2004 Missouri 24,000 +, 2007 Oklahoma St. 24,000 +, 2012 Miss St. 29,000 and Navy 24,000 and 2006 we had the new offense and played Florida, FSU tough on the road. Looking at the years without the big name games we drew pretty good, not great by any means but good. Last year we had a thurs night game At Halloween and a Black Friday game which both hurt the numbers. We hopefully will be back over 20,000 with Duke this year helping the numbers.

I think we will be back at 20,000 average this year... The duke game will likely see over 25,000 in attendance. And a couple others right around 20/21k.
Last year would have been over 20k average had we not had the Black Friday game which only saw about 15k announced at home... Get rid of that game and we would have averaged right at 20,000.

Anybody know if the AD will have a "special ticket offering" in order to entice the public to come watch the Duke game?? It would be great to have a crowd larger than the Mississippi State game.
Are there any home game advertisements on billboards anywhere that anyone has seen?

Now if they were coming in basketball you would have an over capacity at Trojan Arena

Are there any home game advertisements on billboards anywhere that anyone has seen? Let your best game sell it's self. Get creative when Abilene Christian, NMSU, and Georgia St come to town. Digital billboards will come into play closer to the season for individual home games and much sooner for a season ticket push. I think I'll have a beer.
