The men left it all on the floor tonight in what was a battle. 3 TROJANS finished in double digits, D Deen, Z Williams, and E Odigie, with Odigie once again leading the scoring. As elated and thrilled as they were to have won this game, some of them limped into the locker room with hardly enough energy left to get there. The crowd was raucous and made a difference down the stretch. If my memory is correct, there are 3 more chances to see this team in The Arena...get there so that you don't regret not doing so.

Odigie was dominated in the first half, but stAte #15 was in foul trouble mid-2nd, Efe blocked, rebounded, shot and outhustled in the 2nd. Desmond was HUGE in the end run. Coach saved the best for last.
cornhole just amazed at HCSC personnel strategy.
Duke Miles MIA, evidently on concussion protocol.

You are exactly right. 15 and 1 for stAte got in foul trouble mid second and had to relax their defensive attack (not an exaggeration) down low. When they did, Effe took advantage of the softer defense and went off.

I gave the refs a hard time last night, I thought the foul calls were definitely slanted toward stAte. I have a buddy I tried to get to go with me last night and he wasn’t able to swing it. He watched the second half from home and told me that for the final 3-4 minutes or so of the game, the refs really did a good job of letting the guys play and letting the game be decided on the court. That apparently made a big difference. I hate it when the refs insert themselves to the point they are a factor in the outcome of a game.

Zebras definitely missed a few calls vs Red Wolves in the paint 1st half. Efe was visibly livid at the no calls. But the ones they did catch vs #15 and #1 sure did allow us to play our game in the 2nd. Just a heckuva night at the Arena.

They worried too much about our bench while coach skinny jeans for Ark St stayed on the court and was even standing at the ear of our player on an inbound by their bench.

This is the deepest team I remember Troy ever having. The bench is scoring and rebounding almost as much as the starters.
This team is undoubtedly deeper than the NCAA Tourney teams we've had.

One of a few reasons Arkansas State fans don't like their coach.

One more observation about this game and I'll TRY to move on to today's matchup. I commented earlier about how I felt the balance bar on foul calls was tipped in stAte's favor and several of you agreed with me. Past TROY teams (basketball and football) have been unable to overcome that kind of obstacle and get the win. This team was NOT going to be denied. They won this game while battling against 8 opponents. That makes this win so much sweeter.

Coaching makes a huge difference. Knowledge, discipline, game management, recruiting all adds up.
