1) Effie Odidgie is a bad man. He owned the boards tonight and ended up with a double double and multiple put back points. 🚫's big men tried all night to manhandle him down low and I don't remember a single time they were successful. He is a presence and must be reckoned with by our opponents.
2) This team plays as a team. Tonight 4 players ended up with double digit point totals and that was without Duke Deen distributing the ball. Duke didn't play tonight because of a bum ankle and Duke Miles stepped up.
3) Free throw shooting has improved immeasurably since the first of the season.
4) When fans attend and are engaged, The Arena can be an intimidating place for our opponents to play. Just a guess but I'm gonna say it was 50-60% full tonight. Because of it's small size, even when half full the place is so loud you can't carry on a conversation with the person next to you without shouting.
5) HCSC has his team ready to run through a wall for him. They responded to all the coaching/correction/butt chewing that was handed out tonight.
6) Did I mention Effie Odigie is a bad man? We finally have somebody down low that can't, and won't, be pushed around. It makes a big difference in how we play.
7) Finally, If you live within 60 miles of TROY, you owe it to yourself to get to the arena and see this team, even if you have to do so on a weeknight. You'll be home by 9:30.

I don't know basketball and really have no idea of what I saw... except we beat them by a whole bunch of points and we looked good doing it. Total success in all phases tonight.

For years he was the only big guy on the team, now he has Effie and a couple more to feed off of.

For years he was the only big guy on the team, now he has Effie and a couple more to feed off of. Absolutely! Zay wowed the crowd early with two slams, the fans were ALL IN and never let up. Trojan Fans were the 6th, er, 7th, 8th or 9th man tonight. This Team has depth! Punter and Desmond contributed clutch scores.

Sounds like a FAN-tastic night. I simply have to ask this: How were the dogs? Love that Troy won so sorry I missed that but you just don’t get entertained by a bunch of frisbee catching dogs everyday in an Arena. I tried to convince Cornhole to get his pooches involved but he had a hard time getting them to get the frisbee’s instead of the Crown Royal.

The dogs were entertaining. They dropped a few wide open go routes, but, overall, a good showing.

The dogs were fun and it was great to see Leodis courtside. Have not seen him in a long time.

The dogs were fun and it was great to see Leodis courtside. Have not seen him in a long time. LEODIS came down and sat right behind us for a bit. The word got out that he was there, and suddenly some new chairs were placed court side and he and his family were invited to move down. HCJS came over and spoke to him for a minute and gave everyone hugs. When LEODIS is in town, he should be treated like royalty.

Zay Williams has become an incredible player. He'll be a future Troy HOF'er if he sticks around for his senior year.
Efe Odigie has improved immensely. During the first half of the season, he let opposing players out-physical him in the paint... he didn't use his size to his advantage...
...then Scott Cross told him to get physical and start moving people out of the way with his big body, and he's been doing just that.

Wasn’t just Leodis, he was with Tavares Williams former standout safety On a side note: Tavares Williams Jr is being recruited by TROY Great Pickup. Luke Whittemore's dad is his HS coach. He is building a great program at Gainesville Bucholtz HS and I hope we can get some players out of there
