Resuming the preview of the Troy Trojans 2014 football team with a look at the ‘hog mollies,’ or the offensive line… What a difference a year makes. Many questions loomed about how this unit would do entering the 2013 season, and with good reason – it was very young. Six of the top 12 on the depth chart were either true freshmen or redshirt freshmen. m.dothaneagle.com/blogs/troy_story/article_0446fdd8-fd6a-11e3-83f7-0017a43b2370.html?mode=jqmI think I'll have a beer.

This is just a great group of young men. I have gotten to know a few of their parents and they all tell me how close this group is. Two other names that weren't mentioned and are great players are Tyler Lassiter and Jonathan Boring. Tyler played a lot as a R-FR and Jonothan got some time as a true freshman and both can play multiple positions. This group could be the best we have had since 2009.

I read somewhere, maybe in tOS or USA Today where we had several o-linemen out with injuries giving way for our younger players to get valuable playing time. That's a big deal when it comes to close games in the 4th QTR. I think we're going to look like 08 in that regard where we wear down the defense and run the ball for huge gains late in the 4th.
