Over the past week, from fans all the way to ADBJ I’ve heard “ready to run through a wall” a lot. I like the energy. From personal experience, not much compares to this.
If we want to make something not so gimmicky, we turn off some lights during big timeouts and hit them with our own version of the chop, graphics on screen to prompt people included. I’m not sure how we take this and make it our own, maybe we play some music that could have been found in the coliseum, but gosh what a rush to be inside a full VET doing this!

Okay how about "One" by Metallica then maybe at the 4th quarter "Mother" by danzig. Of course the New Zealand All Blacks rugby team comes out to "How great thou art" sacrilege yes effective yes Mother would be good. Where Eagles Dare would be awesome!

Even though it’s a dead horse we do need: A kick off cheer A song A noise maker (I thought keys my be pretty cool bc they can’t stop you from bringing them in the stadium and a keychain full of keys would make a lot of noise… rattled or syncopated rhythmic slash motion like a sword) Etc to unify the fan base I like singing the alma mater after the national anthem. I like seeing the invisible swords raised (would be cool to have something we could actually raise) In regards to a “kick off cheer” or a battle cry akin to the “roll tide” and “war eagle”, I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the saying “For Troy!” When you think of Trojan soldiers rushing into battle, they’re doing it “For Troy!” Our love as fans is “For Troy!” To me it’s an easy way to vocally share who our allegiance is too. But as someone said, it would take a concentrated effort and marketing campaign by athletics, the university, and the SGA to get something like that to stick and it become a normal part of our vocabulary. In the same way Hartwell used “It’s T time” to market the Power T to transition us all to move to it as our primary logo over the shield and swords. So if we all have ideas, they should be emailed to the AD. Because in the end it’s going to start with him.

I proposed “For Troy” a few years ago but it wasn’t popular around here… (1:00 minute mark) I think something similar to “Fight On” would be best… - ”March On”?

Hmmmm somehow I missed that a few years ago. My only issue with “March On” is that it just seems like we ripped off USC’s “Fight On”.

One Troy. Could we have found a more stupid phrase. TKG maybe does it. They both make my skin crawl.

The opening refrain not long catchy and go back and forth with hey part and then/. The song says come and get your love. Replaced by everyone singing “come and get your arse whoopin” It really does not get much finer than that. Sing this to yourself: “Come and get your Arse whoopin, Come and get your arse whoopin, Come and get your arse whoopin . This is song at the repeat spot. Go ahead and sing it to yourself right now. Has a bit of in your face to the other team.

One Troy. Could we have found a more stupid phrase. TKG maybe does it. They both make my skin crawl. I agree it's not very inspiring. I remember, however, when the slogan was first introduced, it was done with the explanation that its purpose was to show unity across the brand...all sports, all academic divisions, all campuses. Given its stated purpose, it's probably as good a slogan as one could come up with. As a battle cry for a football game, it is, as you said, a stupid phrase. It's about as inspiring as ex HC...well you know.

I like Cry Havoc or For Troy. I get awkward responses sometimes when I encounter a Trojan in the wild and I throw out a Cry Havoc!

I like Cry Havoc or For Troy. I get awkward responses sometimes when I encounter a Trojan in the wild and I throw out a Cry Havoc! Unless they attend football games, even Troy people aren't going to understand "Cry Havoc". My vehicle tags are 1HAV0C and 2HAV0C and I get asked about them a lot. By the time I finish explaining the meaning (and I've condensed it as much as I know how) eyes have glazed over. It's caught on with the football crowd but it will be years before enough current students who know the significance become alums and are roaming around with the rest of us and it becomes a thing in public.

TKG should be changed to just saying Men Of TROY… I don’t care if I ever hear anyone mention TKG in reference to any football player again.

I hardly ever post on this forum however I read it daily and enjoy keeping up with what's happening. When the 1996 Olympics were held in Atlanta the torch passed thru Troy as well as other parts of the state. The City of Troy was given a Cauldron that is located downtown near city hall. It is never lighted because of the cost. It would be nice to relocate it to the Stadium and light it up just before each game and continue burning during the game. It would give an opportunity for the fans to acknowledge our support and love of Troy with a saying such as "For Troy".

Played this one on a jukebox during a staff rollover in a diner and the entire staff and customers were singing it While real song plays “Hey (West side) Hey (East side) and then the refrain plays while stadium sings as replacement “come and get your arse whoopin” as others sing correctly of course. I am pretty sure the students would catch on to this quite rapidly.
